I gave up on Manifest. Between the horrible acting and the story spinning its wheels, I just couldn't justify watching it. Besides better casting, it could've benefited from a group of people coming together to find out what happened and focusing on all of their problems instead of this boring pair of siblings.

    13 and 13.

Not sure, but the Comedy Central Futurama seasons were like that, two 26 episode seasons, broken into 6a and 6b then 7a and 7b. I think it has to do with taking sets up and down and giving people raises. Maybe someone here works in the industry and can answer.

Yeah and they are pairing that guy up with the doctor instead of his wife but oh well. If they replaced that lead girl she's just so boring and flat the way she speaks her lines. I just want to see if the bad people are caught for experimenting on passengers.

    Because of this, most likely.

    Salvation has been canceled!
    That show was horrible!

    Some 'series' finale spoilers TVLine....
The series starred Charlie Rowe and Santiago Cabrera as Liam Cole and Darius Tanz, who were tasked with alerting the government that an asteroid was six months away from colliding with Earth. But in the Season 2 finale — which now serves as a series finale — it was revealed that the asteroid, Samson, was not an asteroid, after all.

TV dramas that the main networks only air during the summer almost never gain any traction. Under the Dome might've been the last one with some recognition but they promptly drove that into the ground with the horrible writing. There was also Extant with Halle Berry and Steven Spielberg but that only lasted two seasons.

Braindead was the best of the summer sci-fi shows but the ads were awful for it.

Castle copycat (and another summer scripted network series) Take Two has been cancelled.

Wasn't there another show like Castle that had a writer and a cop, not Take Two, I'm thinking there was another one last year I'm sure I saw it but can't recall the title.

There's Instinct, about a professor/writer who assists the NYPD because a serial killer is using his novels for inspiration. But he's former CIA (and there's no will they-won't they relationship between the leads), so not exactly Castle, Take Two, The Mentalist or Deception.

Instinct, that's the one I was thinking of. Did that one get canned?

I got the impression the writer was a killer sometimes.

Nathan's new show "The Rookie" stands up well after 5 episodes.

Also, he was great as himself on American Housewife last year, dressed up in his Firefly outfit.

Ratings wise it's not standing up to anything.

In fairness does anything get decent ratings anymore?

Since Nielsen is an ancient way of recording ratings and generally doesn't take into account DVR rewatches and other on-demand streaming, then likely not.

Nope, but the ratings are dropping really quickly is more the issue than bad ratings.
