Choosing just four?! Oh, the horror!

Here are a few substitute scares:

What are the one next to the Cloverfield monster, and the last one?

    I'm afraid I voted.

I've never seen this, and so have no idea of the context, but I voted for this one because I like the idea of someone being freaked out about the alphabet.

    You should remedy that.

You've never seen Stranger Things? I'm sorry; I'm afraid I have to remove one of the badges from your official Nerd Uniform.

Someday I'm sure I'll have to justify the expense and finally get Netflix. FWIW, I have been told by a few people that I would enjoy this show. :)

is The Deadly Spawn (and one of the nicer shots from that movie) and this
    [IMG]
    is from Species.

Wikipedia says the budget for that film was $25,000!

And just to clarify, with "one of the nicer shots", I don't mean quality-wise, but as in non-gory. The quality of The Deadly Spawn is way ahead of its tiny budget (which even adjusted for inflation would still only come in at $63,000).

Even I've seen Stranger Things, and I'm usually one of the ones who hasn't seen the stuff everyone is excited about.
(I'm keeping my fingers crossed someone will eventually add Outlander as a freebie on one of the streaming services)
I have seen Species, so that explains why that one looked vaguely familiar. Never even heard of Deadly Spawn.

If you're a fan of well-done practical creature effects and gratuitous shots of people being eaten, you should definitely look it up. Otherwise it might not be for you.

    Thanks for the votes!

Well, considering @Avro Arrow 's second entry got more votes than my second entry (no love for the Ghost of Patrick Swayze, I see), as well as the fact that I ran the last contest, I happily cede to Avro.

    Thanks for the votes! :)

Thank you, I appreciate the cede. But just out of curiosity, would you be OK with running the next one? Running it may be a bit of an issue for me this time out.

Alternatively, I could pick a theme and create an entry thread, if you would be able to post the poll at an appropriate time of your choosing?

Please let me know what you think. Thank you! :)

Sure, I could run the next contest. You got a particular theme in mind?

Thank you, it is much appreciated!

I don't currently. If you have one you'd like to go with, please feel free, but if you prefer that I come up with one, I can do that too. :)

Well, instead of continuing into a competition of politeness, you come up with the theme, I'll do the rest.
