they saw Talla Keyali (played by Jessica Szohr), Alara's replacement as Head of Security knocked down Ed, then fought against Alara in the trailer

Perhaps this would be Alara's way back into the ship.

She discovers her replacement to be a spy (likely for the Krill) and reports her to Ed, causing the confrontation with Talla. Needless to say she'll be restored in her old position by S3

Can't wait. Been rewatching the first season in the run-up to season two.

Now that you mention it, I think my blu-ray player can do Hulu. I still mean to own the physical media. I'm old school that way.
