Not really, Reds fans had him as the front runner as soon as his name came out, Reds love guys who are related to guys who are in the FO and who played or grew up near Cincinnati.
I highly doubt it. I don't think that Maddon survives next season without a deep playoff run, as all the coaching changes have been signals that he and Epstein are not on the same page, but Girardi / Epstein feels like a match made in hell.

Sale was on a tight pitch count and it was said the Red Sox would pull him after 90 pitches or so because they're terrified about his shoulder. Kershaw ... yeah, he clearly didn't have it tonight.
