Kinda briefly considered it but felt in the end it wasn't worth it, 3 hour train rides there and back plus costs.

£30 just to basically wonder around one day isn't it? Had a look at their website and it looked like all the "interesting" stuff was "gated" off.

It's pretty packed although the event itself is very small compared to the Destination Star Trek event that was at the Excel a few years ago it could be bigger they seemed to have cordoned off a whole area .

They do seem to be dealing better with queuing times and logistical organisation although I'm in the Kate Mulgrew queue now and it looks huge, I might have to come back later as I Bill Shatner at 14:10. Ah the joys of conventions an exercise in queuing .

Comparing the interest that Shatner gets vs. the interest that the DSC cast gets to prove how much Discovery is "TEH OOOWWFUL AN KNOW WON KAREZ!!!1!1" is the most unfair, silly, ridiculous argument I've heard in a long time.

Alright, part of the deal in asking Admiral Bear to back off is also expecting other posters to move on from his complaints rather than keep it going.

I just checked, I have no-one on ignore in this thread, so this doesn't make a lick of sense.

Man those people with Admiral passes are real jerks. Obviously spending £3000 obviously takes away your manners.

Well it's been a great day and I should be hearing home to London but I just bought a ticket to watch What We Left Behind, great to watch this with some DS9 fans. Hope it runs to schedule want to still be able to get home tonight.

Edit: 3k oh lord is that how much that costs?

Yep. They mainly consist on balding overweight people who spend most of the time complaining to staff about how they should be allowed to rudely barge into everything.

Shatner is still pretty popular. Easily has the biggest queues out of all of them.

The comment wasn't directed specifically at you, but if you have any questions, please take them to PM.

I know it wasn't. As I said, what you gave everyone a wee lil freindly warning about doesn't make a lick of sense.

Surely the "take it to PM" was clear enough, tho?

I don't have any questions, it was merely an observation.

It was a great day. Very busy- got there early to get a uss Gless and stayed until 6. Lots of fun, asked a question during nana’s And rene’s talk. Soniqua was absolutly amazing and incredibly gracious as was Jason issacs. Quarks makeup was brilliant although that was the only time the queuing system failed miserably (for me anyway). Kate mulgrew seemed to want to be any where else however she was coughing a lot. I had a great great time. Bought too much stuff but had a blast. Let’s hope for another one on 2 or 3 years

I had a great time there, I enjoyed it more than i did 2 years ago but maybe its just down to personal preference, I meet Mary Wiseman who was amazing and nice and as i got the early didn't seem to have too much to queue, Seeing Shatner was Shatner , my friend was queing for Kate Mulgrew at the end and thats a queue that took what felt a long time with 16 batches, luckily she was only batch 9... Only real down side for me was there seemed a lot less silly fun talks on the free stages it felt a bit more serious and branded than previous years.

Not sure where 16 photoshoot batches for Mulgrew came from. As of about 9pm last night, she'd sold 8.

As for it feeling more serious and branded, I got the impression CBS have become more involved after the mess 2 years ago, have started imposing far more demands on Showmasters, and turned it far more "official" with the dealers that are there. Anovos, Eaglemoss are both CBS licensed, and seem to be selling their wares at "official" prices.

Shame about Nichelle being ill. I can understand why 2 years ago Media 10 banned Joiner from bringing her over because of health concerns.

Are you there? Do you work for Showmasters? Just wondering where you get these numbers you quote.

Just came back from the premier. It was okay but just felt that they touched the each subject very briefly. I wanted them to go into more detail into the development of the show.
It also didn’t help matters that I sat at the side and the speakers blocked part of the picture.
Their plan for season 8 was fine. I’ve been told not post spoilers but I say the novels are way better than their idea.
Was strange how close some of their ideas were to that of the novels and STO.

I was in that batch 9 as well, there looked to be about 200 Pepepe in that batch they really oversold it. I thought that was the one queue that didn't really go well .

I got some great pictures of myself, usually I look stupid and silly, I looked justjstupid in these ones lol.

Enjoyed the doc immensely, as the poster above said they only really touched on most things but it runs nearly two hours there is only so much you can cover. Hopefully the home video release will have some of the cut footage.

All in all I have never spent so much money at a convention but I now have pictures with Shatner, Mulgrew, Farrel & Siddig, DeBoar and autographs from Wiseman and Behr.
