So after all the backstage drama with Crawford and the last minute renewal of the show Wayans is leaving already? This show is a one big clusterfrack.

yeah, just cancel it. Both leads are leaving/have been fired, what's the point? Wasn't even that great to begin with, just kill it.

See, now I'm not even sure I want to bother watching. Why form any kind of emotional investment in Seann William Scott's new character if most likely the plug will be pulled after this shortened season?

Anyone else think this makes Wayans look really bad after all the drama he's already caused? He got his co-star fired and now he's basically getting the show cancelled (unless somehow Crawford comes back to replace him) and putting everyone out of a job.

I'm going to have to agree there. Wayans leaving to me comes off as unprofessional and uncaring about all the jobs associated with the show. It also makes me rethink things about Crawford.

I got the impression that Crawford was fired because those that didn't like him had Wayans on their side, and Wayans didn't like him. Ultimately, I don't know because I wasn't there, and maybe there was truth to the Crawford claims too. But this decision by Wayans, and the way he announced it, makes me wonder if Crawford's firing shouldn't have happened.

It's also not just that this show is in disarray, but a different bubble show, like Lucifer, could have remained on Fox, or we could have got more episodes of Gotham.

It makes no sense continuing the show without both Riggs AND Murtaugh. I like several of the supporting characters, especially Trish, but the show has no point after Wayans leaves, UNLESS they somehow can write Clayne Crawford back in and have him work with Stifler.

I gave it two episodes. I wanted to like it, but it was tired from episode 1.

surprised it lasted past 6 episodes.. watched 1, and it wasn't the movies.. not even the music! and the Riggs character was terrible.
Please Hollywood.. Stop Rebooting, Re imagining, Regurgitating this stuff!

I would be fine with a reboot if the originals were poorly executed. You know, kind of a "this went poorly, let's try again taking a fresh approach." What they're doing, though, is taking classics and re-imagining them without any of the spark that made them classics in the first place.

I suspect they were both pains to deal with, but Wayans was the much bigger pain. But he was also the bigger name, so he won out.

The rumor is that Wayans wanted sitcom hours and didn't want to put in the work, while Crawford had come from cable dramas and wanted to put in a lot of work. There was no middle ground.

So Netflix should announce they will give it a 10 episode 4th season shortly. ;)

And clearly now they fired the wrong asshole actor.

I always thought the show had lots of potentials. It hit a lot of notes perfectly. Sure it was just another police procedural, but it was a lot of fun. And some of the stunts were fantastic, especially for TV. And outside of the two leads, the casting was very well done. It's just I'd really like to know whose colossal fuck up it was to cast those two. They were never right for the roles, and besides that their personalities were a known commodity beforehand. (I've been a fan of Wayans for a long time, but really soured on him in recent years.)

I don't know much about either side but I see alot of comments saying Wayans is a Prima Donna.

lol. I'm sure there are some execs at Warner Brothers who are pissed, and worried they are going to be fired
And there are a WHOLE lot of crew members who will be out of a job that are very unhappy.

I can't fault someone for wanting to take care of their health, but, DUDE, you could've exited at the end of last season when all this shit blew up.

I don't blame him. It's ridiculous that so many actors/crew are forced to work longer than 12 hours a day.

Yes. I don't think anybody should have to work more than 12 hours a day to make a living.

I worked a 10.5 hour day yesterday without a lunch break and might have made $100. So instead of worrying about the actor who will make more money in one episode than I will in 5 years we worry about all the people who work on the set that he's fucking over.
