The classic D7 always looks nice, but it's maximum pandering and Spock is a hipster now.

I find people's historical and highly predictable resistance to the evolution of the franchise is amusing.
At some point, "The Cage" was the worst thing to ever happen to Star Trek. And the best.

The nacelles on the hologram seem to taper off like the d4, but the body and head is different. Maybe more inspired by the jj-verse d7. Didn't Eaves design that too?Hm
The only difference I spot is the head and maybe the neck. The body reminds me of the details on the Ktinga (and the Tribbles and Tribbilations DS9 epsiode version.)

The neck and the head are definitely different to the D7 and the K't'inga. It looks like the round bridge module takes up most of the space on the head.

Like Pike already. So Michael and Spock share a vision? I can live with that. Good to see Saru, I'm less enthused about Tilly - damn she's an irritating twit, I hope Stamets aiming that thing at her head shuts her up for a while. So they're going full on with Emperor Georgiou and Section 31?? Personally I'm over the previous season's mirror crap characters and anything Klingon. However, this whole trailer has a good energy and more colour and I look forward to that.

Decent trailer. I think I liked the fun of the Lenny Kravitz one better and we got to see more of the bridge staff like Detmer. One thing I do like is it feels like they are going back to exploring strange new worlds and phenomena, which was also part of the mystique of trek next to the commentary. I'm intrigued by the signals and the red angel thing.
