Back in the 70s they did Christine Chapel's Star Fleet Cooking Manual, which had a recipe for Saurian Brandy. I'd rather drink the stuff Kirk and McCoy drink themselves!

Booze costs more than 50 cents if you want it to taste good.

But, a good 12 year whiskey is something you can get at least in the $60 range, is the other $240 just for the word 'Kirk'?!

$300 is a 25 year whiskey price tag.

Don't get me wrong, if I got a big raise tomorrow I would totally consider indulging in a $300 bottle of scotch (TREAT YO' SELF!), but I strongly doubt the Kirk Bourbon tastes nearly good enough to justify the tag.

holy shit that's expensive. I collect some pretty expensive booze and that is just outrageous. A 12 year age would be more around the $70 mark in my area, not 300. It looks like this is pretty much just your standard cask kept whiskey too. I'd argue that the price tag is probably because of the name and the gold stopper. You're definitely paying for the brand more, however. That's just nuts.

I actually preordered a few bottles of the cheaper stuff back at SDCC... aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand I haven't seen any of it. I did get my bottles of the Ten Forward vodka though, and though the vodka itself isn't anything amazing, the bottle design is pretty neat! :-)
