Star Trek: Short Treks

“Four short stories that delve deeper into the Star Trek Discovery universe”.

The dsc universe within the Star Trek universe or a separate dsc universe within the Star Trek multiverse.

This short takes place during Season 1 though IIRC.

The description said at the start of her journey on the Discovery.

And unless this story takes place during Season 2, there is like no time to stick it between Season 1 and 2.

I meant the description they released a couple months ago when they announced the stories.

I guess they changed the premise after they started filming.
 
So is anyone going to re-up CBS All Access just for these shorts? I'm stoked about Calypso, but I just can't bring myself to pay for the service again till January, when Discovery will presumably start again.
 
I wonder if these are covered by the Bell Media license, or if they will be limited to All Access in Canada?

I'm interested in Calypso and the Mudd one, so if the buzz on these is very positive, I might renew in December for $5.99 (assuming the show is back in January). Otherwise I'll wait.

Wonder if they'll wedge in a commercial at the 7.5 minute mark.
 
I think its a cool idea to have those short treks, and i hope we will get one every month after season 2.
 
I may subscribe earlier to see them. But if a lot of people subscribe to CBSAA just for these, then they may get the idea to make Discovery seasons 12 episodes and show them once a month, and then not bother with Picard or other series.

Don't lose your hope yet.

Netflix UK representative that Digital Spy contacted may have just heard Short Treks and thought he meant some travelling show for people who like to have their trekking limited to their back gardens.

And thus these Short Treks may even fall under the same contract as the actual DSC episodes. Just simply B-stories for actual A-seasons. We simply don't know until Netflix itself clarifies the situation.

So best thing for people outside USA is just to contact Netflix and ask about it.
