A full page of conflict over a sneeze? These must be Star Trek fans...We’ll have to disagree on this. I just think it’s a cheap joke shoved in for a cheap joke, to show that the show has discovered a sense of humor.
Maybe it won’t even show up in the show itself.
Keenser sneezes acid all over this comment. To be fair, it's not the kind of humour Star Trek is known for, so it was kind of jarring.
He meant proper Star Trek.Keenser sneezes acid all over this comment.
so tell us your thoughts about Post-InThePaleMoonlight Trek, please. I don't think I ever heard..He meant proper Star Trek.
Unless it is a Klingons sneeze:To be fair, it's not the kind of humour Star Trek is known for, so it was kind of jarring.
I laughed far more at Kelvin films than I ever did in the PT trilogy. I think the one chuckle I got was Obi-Wan Kenobi being pulled over the side on Kamino. It is actually funny that Belz with his nuKirk avatar said that. Because Kelvin films totally had plenty of 'that kind of humour.' Who can forget Kirk with his swollen hands and tongue? (I can't. I'd really like to, but I can't.) Oh, it nearly rivals the comical masterpiece of Jar Jar Binks stepping on poop.

Yeah, I was not really implying that humour in SW prequels was good either... I mean I laughed a lot while watching them, but probably not in the places the writers had intended...I laughed far more at Kelvin films than I ever did in the PT trilogy. Of course, comedy is subjective.
No, I picked up on the subtle dig at the Kelvin films. It was subtle but I got itYeah, I was not really implying that humour in SW prequels was good either... I mean I laughed a lot while watching them, but probably not in the places the writers had intended...

Nope, we can't have that humanity in Star Trek. Human beings have evolved (insert Picard speech here). It is all "proper" Star Trek. Even Discovery.
I liked the sneeze. Gives it a bit of humanity that was lacking in the first season.

I don't know where you live, but humans in my neck of the woods generally don't sneeze on each other.![]()
