Supergirl - Season Four

I was pretty happy with the interpretation of the Legion this year. There is no reason they couldn't have had Shadow Lass instead of Imra as Mon-El's wife so I was a little miffed at that being a long time Legion fan. But I thought Brainy was handled particularly well. My guess is he had blue make up instead of green so as to make it easier to fill in effects? But that was a minor detail.

You know, I was about to go and try again to watch some of Supergirl season 3, since i'm a looking for a superhero show and I want to try to get back into some of the CW shows. Then, I learned that they're pulling a Flash/Legends and stealing elements of a DC character (in this case Dream Girl) for some random ass modern day character who has no actual connection or is even remotely similar to the DC character. Its not enough that they ruined Mon-El and Brainiac 5, now they're coming for the B-list legionaires? I swear, its like the producers/writers of Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow hate me specifically, since between them they're now ruined my top two favorite DC superhero teams (Legion of Superheroes and the JSA) completely, not to mention all the characters ruined by The Flash.

So, yeah, I'm not wasting my time, since Season 4 is obviously just going to get worse. I swear, the DC CW shows are all just in a race to the bottom. Even Black Lightning only managed a partially good first season before ending almost as bad as the other seasons.

So, how did you feel about SMALLVILLE?

Just got caught up on the news but Data, Lara Croft and Otisburg, oh my!
This should be a fun season. :techman:

Will this also be dark and gritty where she gets to say "Fuck Superman." like Robin now gets to say when talking about Batman.

That's from the TV division. Totally different people. If anything, the DC movies are trending toward more humor and lightness.

Except DC T.V. at least on the CW has had a vibe not unlike the MCU.

And the MCU has a spectrum of vibes (from Serious like Black Panther and Captain America ) to almost silly/comic (Thor, Ant Man Guardians)...but it feels like a solid continuum

DC now feels even MORE of a mess...which is sad because I leaned more DC in collecting comics

I posted about the release in the "Supergirl - Season 3" thread when it was first announced, but the Supergirl '84 Blu-ray is out now, and it is a thing of beauty and a joy forever. A gorgeous new transfer of an underappreciated film, it's the perfect thing to tide us all over till the new season starts.

Looks Supergirl was insane the entire time. Proably exposed to black or silver kriponite. I forget which one it is that makes you go crazy. The whole show is a crazy hallucination. :) That or she spent a day on Twitter and was shocked at what humans who she tries to protect thinks about!

In this show, silver kryptonite causes delusions and hallucinations. Black kryptonite has only been referred to so far as Harun-El, and it's the stuff that split Reign and Supergirl apart into two beings. (Both are based on the properties the substances had in Smallville, which introduced both varieties, although the "silver K" there was made from Brainiac's nanotech/liquid metal substance and wasn't actually kryptonite at all.)

I wonder when the "Benoist should be in the Supergirl movie" / "the movie should be like the TV show" fan campaign will kick off...
I second that nomination!!!

I still think the DC Film Universe would have still worked if they integrated the DC TV Flash and Arrow into the Justice League film. (Way too late now but back then...)

I like Ezra Miller's character and felt he was a good part of the mix but he could have been a different character.
