The original Law and Order, because it deserved to run long enough to claim the "Longest running drama" spot.
The Newsroom. Three somewhat short seasons was definitely not enough. Not for me, at least. I'm sure that Will McAvoy would have a thing or two to say about the current state of American politics.
Enterprise would be nice, get a Romulan war story would be great. Babylon 5, ( doubt it, WB Bigwigs won't let it happen) Stargate, ( Oh I hope) Space Above and Beyond would be a good remake. SeaQuest? Hmm..
I want to see another water/submarine series like Seaquest but only a bit darker and no talking Dolphins. We always go to the Stars. What about going into the ocean.
Taking dolphins. I could picture a reboot sequest, not gonna bother with that auto correct, but I wouldn’t go for a darker version, just less certainty, and the dolphins would say some really profound and spooky shit. Was watching Short Circuit yesterday, and thought we’ve gotta be due a third instalment. Not a reboot though. Don’t want that.
I felt that Chappie was a modern take on Short Circuit. But if we were to ever get a 3rd Short Circuit movie, I think Blompkamp would be a great director to take it on. It'd be funny to see Number 5 have a job at a production facility for electric cars.
There has been talk about a Short Circuit 3 movie for awhile. AFter all this time it would be continuation, but stand on it's own. I don't know why it can't get off the ground, it can't be that expensive of a movie.
I don't even know if they have access to the original body anymore. I think if this were a continuation, he'd have to be same personality in a new body, possibly a sleeker more advanced one.
The problem with another bringing "SeaQuest" back is the original run ruined the series. Season three was awful, and so was half or more of season two. And without Roy Scheider, why bother?
Different viewpoint, but I felt it was a pretty good movie for what it set out to accomplish. It felt like an 80's style movie with more modern components. It's not like Short Circuit was a brilliant masterpiece in the first place. It was 80's camp.
True, but it was enjoyable camp. Most of Chappie was more grating than enjoyable, including the robot itself
I agree without Roy Scheider why bother. However season 2 is so awful that I actually like season 3 more than season 2.
Now, is a continuation of "SeaQuest" ignored season three, the season two finale with aliens (and that other alien episode), I might be game. Bring back some of the original cast, and have Richard Dreyfuss as the quirky captain who was good friends with Bridger.
