Light Subject Question: DS9's Suckiest Aliens.....

Those stupid people with the flakey skin.
And mainly their childish acting leader.
Eww flakey skin. Yeech.
Their "childish acting leader" is a dead ringer to my aunt (on my father's side)!
And Kai Winn looks like another aunt (on my mother's side)!
Just another reason for me to love DS9!

But I agree that the Skreeans were a bit "sucky".

But "suckiest"? I don't know, I guess I have to rewatch the series.

You know, we humans shed lots of skin cells daily. It's just that they are so small we can't see them.

The Skreea were just that trait taken to a massive height.

As for suckiest aliens, I have to say the Dozi from "RULES OF ACQUISITION". They just didn't work for me for some reason, and I don't even know why.

A lot of what is terrible about "Meridian" can be traced back to how undercooked those aliens are. So blank and generic, it's hard to believe they're not on Voyager.

Probably a less popular opinion, but I also always thought the Hunters from "Captive Pursuit" were poorly done. When the alien is one idea, and the one idea is "hunters!", they need to do a better job at executing their action sequences! So stiff and awkward.

The Risians were never worse than they were on DS9.

By "storyteller aliens" you mean Bajorans? The ep where O'Brien had to tell their "story" to stop the sky monster whatever? That was Bajor, but somehow it comes off as a Trek planet-of-the-week....

If this was the TOS section, I'd say the salt creature. Covered in suckers...

Usually I think totally human aliens are the lame ones.

The Klingons.

*ducks for cover*

By the end of TNG they were already tedious, the early days of DS9 had very little to do with them, which was refreshing, then Worf was brought into the fold and they started wearing pretty thing. Only Martok really saved me from disliking them completely.

DS9 is actually kind of amazing how they managed to expand on so many species, Ferengi, Klingons, the Dominion, Trill, Bajorans, and even the Hu-mons.
Ah, the benefits of a consistent setting, characters and stories.

The Pah Wraiths and Season 7 prophets. It was like Sisko opened the emissary orb and the prophets changed. I guess that orb made the prophets perfectly understand Linear time, and it seemed like they always did.

The Wadi from Move Along Home. I can put aside the poor language skills, the lame gaming, and the utter blandness....but NEVER the mullets and track suits. Inexcusable suckage.

Well, since they are non-linear, if they ever gained understanding of linear time then it would seem like they always had it...
