Season 2 Teaser

That might not be the Discovery, could be the Hiawatha or another ship.

Burnham is wearing her EV suit.
Yes, it looks like the Discovery is sending a rescue party over to the damaged Hiawatha to get chief engineer Reno and whoever else is there. Could be that the Hiawatha is a Walker-class ship like the Shenzhou, judging by the transporter room and the low registry number.

Queen
The Beano
Battlestar Galactica

I’m a rebel and I’m CRAZY

Agreed on Queen and Galactica (original, for me)

But I had to look up The Beano, because all I was familiar with is this:

So apparently Anson Mount is contracted for the whole season, all 13 episodes. He's going to be around for a while:

I like the cut of his jib, and he may very well be around for 13 episodes or more, but I wouldn't take any of them at face value about this sort of thing anymore. I'm only confident that he isn't Khan, Klingon, or a Mirror.

Fine by me. From the trailer I find him refreshing. I'm looking forward to seeing him interact with the other cast members.

I just find it insane that we still have to wait this long for more Trek. Why not this fall?

Maybe. Back in my day, you had one full season every year. 26 damn episodes! And those were 52 minutes long absent commercials!

Ok, ok. That was a bit before my day, but not much.
And that schedule meant there were quite a few... lesser episodes. So, without the rush and without having to make any need for filler, S2 really ought to be dang good.

Oh, definitely. Can't stand 'em. There are two kinds of people in the world, those who like the Marx Brothers and those who like the Three Stooges, and I'm definitely a Marx Brothers guy.

(FWIW, for a somewhat more contemporary example, I also can't stand the movies of the Farrelly brothers!...)
What about those who like both?

Admittedly, my comment reads more dramatically than I really intended. But I'll stand by it. That sort of humor is the stuff of bad kids' movies, not something I'd expect from what is being billed as a more "adult" take on Star Trek.
Sneezing played for laughs is a fairly common Trek trope:

Does anyone have an idea what's happening here? I think it links with Tilly's "This is the power of math, people." moment. Maybe they managed to create a better force-field/containment device

while being breached by a huge asteroid? It does look like a rocky ceiling is what everyone is looking up at, while in awe.
Maybe it's an asteroid deflector (though not an obelisk) similar to the one in TOS - The Paradise Syndrome, and what we're seeing there is a holographic projection of an incoming asteroid threatening the planet? The mysterious aliens at the heart of the "crisis" could be the Preservers.
