Season 2 Teaser

Just had a horrible thought. What if it's side effect of Q inner struggles (like they had super novas in that one episode) Please no Q, pretty please!

I think we're more likely to get a version of KHAN on this show before we get Q.

Me too and I still hear “13,000”. Ah we’ll find out for definite soon enough I suppose

It's 30,000. As in 1,000 light years per YEAR (by VOY standards) at maximum warp. Even if was 13,000 they still need to the spore drive get to all 7 within the length of one season.

You must really hate the Three Stooges.
:wtf:
Oh, definitely. Can't stand 'em. There are two kinds of people in the world, those who like the Marx Brothers and those who like the Three Stooges, and I'm definitely a Marx Brothers guy.

(FWIW, for a somewhat more contemporary example, I also can't stand the movies of the Farrelly brothers!...)

Maybe it's deliberately vague, because they haven't decided yet.
Maybe hehe!

I could measure the frequencies of the second syllable of whatever number Pike says - that would tell for definite whether it was the vowel /i:/ alone or the nasal /n/. But that’s going to involve sampling the audio, running it through the spectrograph, measuring the formant frequencies and all kinds of whatnot.

I fancy myself as Uhura some days but not today...

That they're 'spread across 30 000 light years' does not mean that closest of these anomalies is 30 000 LY away... They probably do not need to visit all of them.

But what if they're Pokemen?
Gotta collect them all. :)
For what it's worth, the subtitles are on the Rotten Tomatoes uploaded version of the trailer. As I understand the person uploading a video can upload their own subtitles too, right? So they are "unofficial"
Official trailer on cbs.com doesn't have any subtitles. So debate away :)

debate on!!!

13,000 would only make the distance between the anomalies about twice the likely size of the federation in that era.

30,000 is massive and could suggest galaxy-level consequences. Which would be kind of an anti climax since a death ray was used to stop the Klingon war...

Before only the federation was at stake.

Then it was the whole multiverse

Now, it’s only the Milky Way galaxy. Will anyone care about such a small area relative to the whole multiverse...?
