Has anyone seen the new Lucasfilm poster for the 2018 Comic Con?

Is this poster legitimate? I hope not, because there is something clearly wrong with it . . . in the Sequel Trilogy section. For example . . . where is John Boyega and Oscar Isaac? Where are they? Both of them, especially Boyega, are supposed to be the leads with Daisy Ridley in the Sequel Trilogy. Why does this poster have an older Mark Hamill and an older Carrie Fisher, both who were basically supporter characters in compare to Boyega and Isaac?

I hope that this poster is false. If not, Disney and Lucasfilm have a lot of explaining to do.

^They really don't.
There's also no Chewie, old Ben Kenobi, C-3PO, Lando, Tarkin, Dooku, Palpatine...and why ever would you think a poster like this would need a full accounting of each trilogy's major players? It's not about the individual trilogies, but how the trilogies relate to, (literally) reflect each other as a whole and how the architypal roles shift over time. So relax.

Honestly, if I was getting persnickety I’d be way more upset by the lack of Threepio. He lost an arm Disney, you could totally use that to highlight the theme!

Seriously, for all I know the other characters will have their own poster based on their own theme. Similar to what Disney did already did with the posters for Infinity War. I shall reserve my annoyance for later.

You can apply your complaints to the PT and OT sections as well.

Thank you for making me understand why I sometimes dislike the Star Wars fandom so much. No wonder I think it's so racist at times.

Most fandoms are that way. Star Wars is not unique in that regard. It's the new evolution of tribalism in the human race.

Glad to help???
So are you blaming the racism present in SW fandom on the fact that people don't find an issue with this poster, but you do?
If that is the case, then you are accusing the folks at Lucasfilm of aiding and abetting racist fans, which is wild because those same racist fans accuse Lucasfilm of aiding and abetting the erasure of white (males) from the SW films.

What the bloody hell are you on about? We're racist because we're not getting in a histrionic tizzy over a poster that doesn't include *every single Star Wars character ever*? You my friend, can go fuck yourself.

No minority characters, yet Luke and Leia appear twice.

Positing a theory (that may be more helpful than my last post), let's look at the characters. First, you have the Skywalker clan:
  • Anakin/Vader
  • Padme, his wife
  • Luke, his son
  • Leia, his daughter
  • Han, his son-in-law
  • Kylo Ren, his grandson and student to Luke
Then, you have people who play big roles in the Skywalker story
  • Qui-Gon, discovered Anakin
  • Obi-Wan, Anakin's best friend and mentor to both Anakin and Luke
  • Artoo, companion to both Anakin and Luke
  • Yoda, mentor to both Anakin and Luke
  • Rey, student to Luke
  • BB-8, okay, I admit, I don't have much for this one... he's cute?
Perhaps the poster is focusing more on the journeys of Luke and Anakin then it is about trying to include every character? Just a thought.

So does Anakin, from a certain point of view.

Hey, wait, does Vader count as black? His voice is done by James Earl Jones after all. Which means nothing on a poster, I guess, but yeah...
