Yeah. If you're referring to her outfit, it's just to tribute her look from the Turner comics.

And you will find loads of teenage girls dressed like that during the summer, especially on a day like today.

No big deal.

So its pandering with Laura's outfit, how do you explain in most episodes Justin Hartley/Green Arrow being shirtless ?

This was fun, but only covers season 1-2

… and I just realized it missed Lillian Luthor, at least 2 evil White Martians and the Queen herself, Rhea! :cardie:

The reason for all the math in this one confused me at first. Why bother, I wondered, since the dwarfstar key to the fortress of solitude was way heavier. But he finally got around to that and to Fort Roz.

Of course, then I wondered if she lifted the key so easily why was the Fort such a burden?

To tide us all over till the new season, the Warner Archive Collection is releasing Supergirl '84 on Blu-ray (finally!) on July 24.

I suspect this was more motivated by the DCU thing, so they figured might as well also put out a blu ray.

Still, I love that movie, looking forward to high def version of it. :techman:

^ Oh, I didn't mean they literally released it to tide us over, just that it has that happy effect. :)

And yeah, I've been waiting for a Blu of this one for what seems like forever.

Certainly was a better film than the critics gave it credit for

It would be folly to claim it isn't something of a cheesefest, but it's a charming and enjoyable one, and occasionally downright enchanting (particularly the flying sequences -- I love the bit where Kara paces the galloping herd of horses below). Slater gives a winning performance, and Peter O'Toole O'Tooles the hell out of his relatively small role (the man was so flamboyantly entertaining doing pretty much anything). The score's great, too. I personally love the movie, and I preordered the Blu-ray with extreme prejudice.

(Our own Christopher has a really good, though spoilerific, review of the film here.)

So do ya think Slater's Supergirl could beat Reeves Superman in a fight?:)
You mean the guy on the left? Because that's the only "Reeves Superman."

Now, if you mean the guy on the right, that's "Reeve Superman" (or "Reeve's Superman," if you were going for the possessive).

(Just part of my never-ending battle for truth, justice, and the correct spelling of Christopher Reeve's name.)
