Anyways as I said before SWTOR is still going with new stories and it is a Legends property.
Not like fans wouldn't complain about multiple time lines anyway.
Also if IIRC, the Fantasy Flight games and other table top RPGs are considered legends, or at the very least non-canon.
The newer releases use canon ships and characters, but the background information/lore in the source books isn't considered canon.

I think that was CLB's book, especially a subplot about Kirk being looked down on for being promoted to Captain at his graduation. In either case, both his and Greg Cox's books ended up being parted out and reformed into "The Face of the Unknown" and "No Time Like the Past," respectively, so we're definitely not seeing those, no matter what happens with the novel line. No idea bout the ADF book.
Just did some digging around, apparently David Mack's novel would have dealt with Vulcan survivors trying to figure shit out for their future. In other words, a storyline the comics have since tackled.
I think the answer to this question is no (with possible exceptions for video games that were released prior to the establishment of "Legends"). I think Disney wants everything to be part of the new canon. What they will likely continue to do is to incorporate elements from Legends into the new canon. Admiral Thrawn is the best example, but I would be shocked if we never get Mara Jade.
Seriously, if they release an animated Shadows of the Empire movie, I know I'd buy it.
Now that would be a shame. My number one request is to incorporate elements (or the entirety) of Shadows of the Empire into the new canon. That was the one part of the EU that was about as close to an official release as they got - they essentially did everything but release a new movie. They had a comic adaptation, a novelization, and a video game all at the same time. Honestly, after seeing Solo, it just made me want to see it even more.

Forgive my ignorance but is it possibly also to do with who owns the characters? Like when they had to rename to Tom Paris for Voyager because they didn't own the rights to his original character. I'm just saying the Thrawn was created by Zahn and when they've brought him back into cannon they have brought Zahn back to write a book. Could it be that to bring in say Katarn they would have to deal with whoever created him and for such characters where the origin is a bit more murky the whole thing is offically more trouble than it's worth.

Pablo isn't the last word in what becomes canon, there is an entire team, plus the executives above them.
Anyways Pablo likes KOTOR, he's mentioned before how he played it. IIRC What he didn't like was having an in stone ending. His Revan was female.

I am not a lawyer, but if the books were considered "work for hire" than the characters created are owned by the person or corp doing the hiring.
Lucasfilm own everything in Star Wars. They can do as they please with any character from any medium and the authors or whoever created them can't do shit about that. Zahn was consulted on Thrawn only as a courtesy, not a requirement. Filoni could have gone ahead and used Thrawn without permission, since he's entitled to use any Star Wars character he wants. The only reason he got in contact with Zahn is because of how much of a massive fanboy he is, he only wanted to use Thrawn if he could have Zahn's blessing.
Honestly, Shadows of the Empire always seemed overhyped to me. If it weren't for all the cross-media tie-ins it got, it would be indistinguishable from any other novel.
What about that Tweet of his where he showed the comparison photos of the crowd that attended Obama's inauguration and the smaller crowd that attended Trump's. The Obama crowd photo was captioned "Star Wars fandom" and the Trump crowd photo labeled "Star Wars fans who care about KOTOR."
I loved Shadows back in the day. Read the comic, read the book, played the game. Now that I play X-wing I make sure to get Dash out often and flew him in a tourny the other week. But I've got got to say that I've never gone back and read it because I reckon it will not hold up well at all. Correct me if I'm wrong and you've gone back recently.
I read the novel last year. Honestly, twenty years later, it's really hard to see it as an "event" as opposed to any old novel.

I'm most familiar with the story because of the N64 game, to be honest, but I thought there was just a lot of fascinating world building in the game. Plus, many Bothans died.

I can't find the exact posts, but I pretty clearly remember being shocked and excited to find out that we might actually be getting at least one of the Kelvin timeline books.
