MLB World Series 2018: Eh. Dodgers/Boston. Eh.

Going from Wrigley Field to U.S. Guaranteed Cellular Rate of New Comiskey Field Park is like switching from Secretariat to Elsie the Cow.

You're at the game today. It's a ghost town at that ballpark.

I honestly think there’s more Oakland fans here than Whitesox fans...

then again this is the makeup game from last night’s rainout. When they dd this at Wrigley a few days ago the crowd wasn’t exactly 100% there either.

I hate Justin Wilson and I'm so glad the Cubs emptied what was left of their barren prospect cupboard for him last year.

That is all.

He had very little to do with the three straight losses to the fucking Reds. One ER in Thursday's game I believe.

Had a lot of fun at the game. Didn't feel like I was going to get stabbed to death right outside the stadium. Ushers are a lot more friendly and didn't check tickets every single time I went to get a hot dog or a drink. Lots of restaurants right outside the stadium with open container on the street (too hot for that yesterday). Parking was only half a mile away and it was over a pedestrian bridge. The seats were really good for what I paid and we ended up getting my dad a game used 2nd base bag that had a Father's Day tag on the sides.
Neat!

US Cellular is a much nicer park with some of the best sightlines I've seen in baseball. Last time I was there, there were really only less than 1000 people. Oakland too though. I had the entire section to myself both times.

The second game I saw at G-Rate Field was much more exciting than the first.

Not only did the Whitesox play better, but the crowd was much larger and was way more into it. The first game was just a make-up, that's why it was so pathetic. The second one was a lot more fun to watch.

Plus, the second game was Beatles night, and you can't go wrong with that. :techman:

And...my God, they had PEROGIES

I sure wish the A's had some pitching. They might make some real noise, but their rotation wouldn't win a recreational softball league.

Agreed. They’ve plenty of offense, but they can’t shut anybody down. Too bad Cotton isn’t healthy, as he showed some promise last season and might have given their rotation some stability.

In other news, Brandon Nimmo, whose been the Mets best player this season, underwent an MRI on his hand, which was negative.

Don't we all wish we had some pitching. Or hitting. Or....

Houston atop the AL West with a run differential of +166.

Seattle, 3.5 games behind, has a differential of +12.

A's and Angels now 10.5 back...

:wah:

Ah, but they signed Edwin Jackson. All the pieces are in place. (to be fair he had a decent debut for the A's)
7 strikeouts. Now if he can just pitch for the rest of the season and do decently against the AL West, we might make a run at this thing! (leapfrogging Seattle, and the lesser of Boston/Yankees will be tough, but I have faith)

At one point, the Cubs hoped he could "pitch" for the rest of the season. One of our worst signings for sure. Are we still paying that guy?
