TLJ Actor Kelly Marie Tran (Rose Tico) Deletes Instagram After Abuse

Aw, youre trying to be cute. Pity that, romantic or not, the advice is especially true in fucking relationships.

Cos if you not prepared to ‘quit’ someone despite any possible circumstances, then it’s a pretty big fucking problem.
It depends on the relationship. My wife and I have been committed to each other for ten years despite some significant problems. I'm not prepared to quit on that. I know everyone is different but such a hard and fast rule is something I find odd, to say the least.

This group believes it succeeded in its targeted harassment of Daisy Ridley and Kelly Marie Tran, the stars of the current Star Wars sequel trilogy. In order to do this it relied on racial slurs, sexist comments, dehumanizing language, and just about every form of targeted harassment you can imagine.

I have no words.

Actually I do. There are a lot of disgusting things that happen in this world. And this is just a small example. Anyone who has participated in this sort of thing, apologizes for it or thinks it’s funny? Well, there’s a special place in hell for people like that.

I tried to find these air-sucking pestilences online and give them a piece of my mind, but I think Facebook may have deleted their page, which would be poetic justice.

Of course it’s depends on the relationship. Although I probably mean that in a different way than you.

Everyone deserves a bare minimum of safety, and just general protection of their well being. Not all relationships (and not just romantic/sexual ones) end up providing that.

That’s what I mean by ‘any’ circumstances.

(Note: Althouh I do know that, unlike Instagram with its ‘delete’ button, there are many other factors and dependencies that will outright prevent people from leaving toxic relationships. And many of them weave together)

I hope so. But if anything, this post proves one thing: These people are a group fucking entitled fanboys who not only are racist, sexist manbabies who can’t deal with the idea that Star Wars doesn’t just belong to the white man anymore. Time they fucking get over themselves.

I don't get the 4-6 years thing. 6 years ago is pre-Disney and their precious EU ( now 'Legends' ) was in effect.

I noticed that too. The only thing I can think of is that the blu rays were released in late 2011. Doesn’t quite add up but it’s close and fans were definitely unhappy with the continued changes in this release.

Star Tours got an update in 2011. Maybe they saw the Disney affiliation, and got confused?

No, wait...I forgot the sort of people that I was talking about. That’s probably exactly what they’re referring to.

No, but that also isn't a concern in my relationship.

Your point stands. But, the idea of being prepared to leave is one that sits oddly with me.

I wouldn’t say ‘prepare.’ Probably more ‘the ability to move on. If you need/want to.’

After all, you* may not even be the leaver. But when push comes to shove, you’ll still need to be able to cope with that situation in a non- destructive way.

‘I can’t live without you/that/it’ can be a nice sentiment in fiction, but probably shouldn’t be encouraged too much in reality. Especially not to the point of martyring yourself over Instagram!

*That’s a general ‘you.’ Not you specifically.;)

Certainly not over Instagram. Facebook, now that's different.

The scary part is that mass media has programmed some of this behavior in film and media, especially with the association of romance with large, grand, demonstrations rather than actually working at a relationship.

Sneezing gives them validation. It’s why trying to avoid ‘giving them what they want’ is just a losing game.

Argue back? ‘Triggered.
Block and ignore? ‘Have no answer!’
Leave situation entirely? ‘Ha! We drove em off!’

Better to do what best suits you. Or Lord forbid, attempt to report it.

^ Telling them to go f&ck themselves would not be providing them with validation.

It does. I know it's hard to understand for anyone who is reasonably sane, but these types live off that anger. It gives them the jollies. Knowing they hurt someone or pissed someone off they don't like (which is virtually everyone who isn't them) brings them joy.
