Soran77

Captain
Captain
Built after the Klingon Moon of Praxus exploded, it was designed to strike quickly, with deadly results, One thousand of them were built, the plan of the Romulan empire was to quickly subdue the Klingon Empire in their weakened state. When the plans of conspiracy were thwarted the Nei’rhh Class Light Warbird's were re purposed and most of them only saw small engagements with only a handful surviving into the 24th century.

A nice, simple design - just right for quickly churning out in their hundreds :) I can see this as a predecessor of sorts to the later Scout/Science ships.

Veeeery nice! Love the blend of known Romulan ship design elements. And I dig the way the rows of window lights scale her.

I know you probably said it elsewhere already, but in which software do you build your designs again? I'd love to learn this some day. I have so many ship design ideas in my head and as scribbles on my desk.

That is definitely what I was going for, I like to create ships that call to the lineage of canon designs! And because it is smaller than the average warbird (even in that time frame) it would be easy for them to pump out 1000 in a few months, if they had ten shipyards building 100 at a time!

So I use Sketchup, which actually can be used at any level of 3D designer, from Novice to Advanced, the new format is terrible of that software, it is web based and has no support for plugins, though Sketchup 2017 is still available, but hard to find, google it, it's on the Trimble site, but they intentionally made it hard to find, still free and fully supports plugins, and as for rendering I use Sketchfab.com, they support almost all 3D software! Thank you for your kind words, my art is my therapy, FYI, the body of this ship started as a Star wars bounty hunter ship I did many many years ago, I have over a thousand unfinished models, and I cannibalize them sometimes lol, I will post some pics of the original a bit later!
