"5 Reasons Kathleen Kennedy Needs To Step Down From Lucasfilm" By John Campea

Don’t like calling him Ben. That name had significance for Luke and not Han and Leia.
Should have just used the EU name.

Star Wars is a space franchise with laser swords and mystical powers. I'm really not all that concerned whether or not one character learns something faster than another. I'm interested in having a good time and liking the characters.

I like Rey, and I had a good time watching The Last Jedi.

I enjoy both the new post-RotJ Canon characters and the Legends EU characters from the same rough time period myself.

I have a feeling at some point I'll feel the same way about the Disney "canon" stuff as I do the EU, but it just got too hard and too expensive to keep up with the story.

Honestly though, my biggest problem, honestly, was the death of Chewbacca, who sacrificed himself for Han and Anakin Solo. It was pretty pathetic when five or six books later they killed off Anakin. I didn't like that they killed Chewie, but I thought ending Anakin (primarily because they didn't want audiences to get confusing Anakin Skywalker with Anakin Solo) was an even worse decision.

Well, that's ridiculously wrong. Ben Kenobi saved the lives of Han and Leia, too. Literally, unless you think they could have gotten off the Death Star without him. And he gave his life for all four or six of them who escaped on the Falcon in the process. Han and Leia don't even meet without him, either.

They would have, though. The Empire let them escape so they could track them back to the Rebel base, remember?
Not sure I see how the tractor beam gets turned off. The decision to let them out wasn't made until after it looked like they had a fighting chance anyway.

Allegedly. Would-be mythbusters "busted" that notion, letting us all know: You got the wrong idea, relax, they don't think people are that stupid!

Only to be followed by Lucas changing the name of Korriban to Moraband because he thought people would get 'Korriban' confused with 'Coruscant'.

LOL... fair enough. I hadn't looked at any of that since shortly after Star by Star. Chewie is one of my favorite characters. It just didn't feel the same without him (and yes, I know its hard to write Chewie other than suggesting he roared. I don't care.)

Thankfully the Korriban name is canon again, just as an older name for the planet in galactic history. Moraband is still the 'modern' name though.

With salted popcorn.

Not good for you, especially the the salt and vinegar kind. There are better spices that are healthy for you that you can put on popcorn.:shifty:

And at least eight scoops of ice cream.

Gotta watch that, but yeah, cool enough.;)

And Diet Coke, it's healthier.

That, or Diet Sprite, Diet Fanta, Diet Cherry Coke, Coke Zero, Coke Zero Vanilla, Coke Zero Lemon, Coke Zero Lime, etc. And at some movie theaters you can get all of these from a Coca-Cola Freestyle machine.;)

Why would Han and Leia name their own child after Obi-Wan? That never made any sense to me. Han and Obi-Wan merely got on each other's nerves. Leia never met him. So . . . why name their kid after him?

Fought with her father in the Clone Wars. And, obviously, she had to have some connection to him as she was sending R2 specifically for him.

"Help me, Obi-Wan. You're my only hope."

Leia at least knows of him, since she reacts to Luke stating that Ben is with him.

Also, Ben saved their lives. Naming a child after someone who saved your lives is a popular trope among various types of media. This is nothing new, and really isn't all that surprising.

My youngest is named Benjamin, and I never even met Benjamin Sisko.
