what's your local weather?

Yesterday morning: "Hey Google, is it going to rain today?"

"It's probably not going to rain today."

Yesterday evening: Storms, some of them severe.

Today: Hot and sunny...too hot and sunny.

This is our 11th day in May with a daytime maximum of at least 25 C. If we get to 13 days, which we well may, it'll be a new record. This time last year, the daytime maximum was barely in the double digits C.

Nice. Not too hot, not not warm. Just nice. A nice day for ambling, and wandering. A good day for picnics and pooh sticks, except the nearby bridge crosses the railway not the river, the nearest bridge across the river is five miles in land.

Just a nice day.

Sucks here. Yesterday was 90 deg. F, sunny and humid, and today is 50 degrees and raining. Of course, that is my fault because I turned off my heating system off yesterday.

94 F today and it will get hotter as the week goes on. So from now until Halloween, the forecast as is Hot AS Fuck.

Turned out nice again.

It’s sleeping with the windows open weather. Waking to a warm breeze filtering through the curtain, the soothing sounds of bird song, swaying branches, and the low drone of a bumblebee investigating a nearby flower, and, of course, the life affirming scent of freshly spread muck. Hurrah.

If the whole summer could be like this, it wouldn’t be England. The rain will come soon enough.

unbearably hot today. It's even hard to breathe - the air is like half set jam. For weeks now the forecast predicts thunderstorms and they do indeed approach my town but always at the very last moment they veer off.
My office faces south and over here only hospitals and airports are air conditioned so that I am gently simmering all day. I start work at 6:00 and go home at 15:00 to escape at least the worst of the heat but it's really time for a week of rain.

That sounds awful, where are you?

101°F in some areas of the Cities today. 100°F where I was. 99°F where I live.

Storms in the evening. More of the same tomorrow, though not as hot.

Bavaria :)
Today is even hotter than yesterday and no thunderstorm in sight. The weather forcast says we might get a bit of rain on Saturday but I'm sceptical - they've been saying that for the last 4 weeks.

Other towns in the vicinity got a bit more than they had hoped for- the white stuff in this 1 minute news clip is hail - the clip was shot on Sunday in a town about 40 miles from here: https://www.br.de/mediathek/video/video/br24_hagel-100.html
Seeing these pics I'm torn between relief and envy - while right now I would very much appreciate a bucketfull of ice to stick my feet in, such amounts of it are somewhat out of proportion (let alone the fact that according to the clip 6 basements got flooded). Much as I'd like a little cooling-off, I'd rather not see my tomatos and cucumbers up to their blossoms in hailstones.

Yesterday was odd. Erlangen outskirts: only thunder and a little storm without rain. On the other hand: Erlangen city took the brunt of the storm with flooded streets and cellars. I was outside Erlangen city, though, as I live there.....

It says we'll get to 84°F today. Forecasts have been on the low side, though. I hope they're not off by too much, today.
