Things that frustrate us all

My left knee and right calf are hurting. Been working on trying to exercise them gingerly along with using an ice pack and Max Freeze... but all of that seems to not be helping much. :(

Smokers on the beach. Not just because of the awful smell, but also 'cause I have yet to see a single one bring something to put the butts in and they just bury them in the sand, like the beach is a trashcan; young, old, even saw a police officer do it once.

Then I saw a new one: some asshole goes out into the ocean with one in his hand (everybody was down wind of that shit). He goes under and comes back up. Yup, the ocean was his personal trashcan. Two assholes did that that day.

It's little comfort but most smokers over here don't even use ash trays if there are any.
Equally annoying imo are those people who spit their chewing gum on the ground instead of putting it back into the wrapper and throwing both into the next trash bin.

Well, the beach is a giant ashtray. Why else would God put all that sand there?

I spit my gum into the next trash bin.

hugely commendable! You wouldn't like to come over to Germany, by any chance, to organize training courses?

Multiple purposes come to mind: sandcastle building ground for kids, comfortable soft and warm sitting space for elderly or tender-bottomed people, soft landing space for sea birds and all sorts of ships and boats, big canvas to draw pretty wave patterns on, exhibition site for pretty shells, useful spot to dig in (and conveniently forget) your partner etc. etc.
Now, who thought cat litter box?! I heard you loud and clear, young poster!

Ugh, don't ever buy airline tickets and then expect to be able to cancel or change them for any reason even months in advance, and even after purchasing insurance. :sigh:

What's the point of these episode line by line threads I see on this board? Someone picks an episode and then people take turns posting lines from the episode? This is really a thing? I don't get it.
What's the appeal?
And if someone replies that "it's fun" I really don't see that either

Using a toliet for number 2 just after getting out of a shower or just finishing up swimming. I assume I don't need to go into more details.

It was a thing in the early 2000s, and the threads usually petered out instead of finishing the whole episode/movie. Then this phenomenon went away for several years.

And then somebody revived the concept in 2009 with a TWOK line-by-line thread in memory of Ricardo Montalban after he passed away. And it's been going strong ever since!

That the school won’t apply suncream to the children in their care, but they won’t keep them indoors if they’re not protected.

I don’t have the luxury of living in a country where you can dress confidently for the day’s weather. Sometimes you don’t put suncream on the kids because it looks like rain, but they still have it with them. They’re five, they need prompting, FFS.

When the network speed is supposed to up to 17mb, but I get 0.04, and BT say the line is fine,

Time to switch supplier I think.
