You're right, the model is definitely straighter. This version was in the Technical Manual though for some reason.

Yeah, I'd have been annoyed with that as a kid too. They'd at least learned by the TNG stuff. Only the tiny imprinted writing that you'd need to be looking for on the bottom was there.
