OK, now what's the story? Ha, got you!

That's a good one. I may not always agree with @Bry_Sinclair but I know they've always got a story.

Oh oh, that never ends wellSplitting up
Madness I tell you! There's always a story or twelve bubbling under the surface.
As if there are not enough complaints about "mindless action."Jason Strathem as the new Captain. Sounds good to me.
Incorrect and an oversimplifcation. Certain actors are expected to fit certain roles, and are largely remarked upon when they break out of their niche markets.Mindless action comes from the writers, not the star. He just drives the vehicle, as it were.
Theoretically, yes. Not so simple within the world of Hollywood. They can break out of their mold and stretch. That's what good actors do and what makes them remarkable.

Statham won't be playing MacBeth any time soon.Mindless action comes from the writers, not the star. He just drives the vehicle, as it were.
Like Tom Hanks can only do comedy? But some actors will always be associated with particular types of films
I'd disagree, the connection between TOS and the Abrams movies is at best superficial.Obviously there were a lot of references, nods etc to the movies in ST09/ID/BEY but really they are a big budget updating of TOS
