The times we see Kirk upset is when one of his men gets killed. He's upset for like two minutes.

Oh, that is one of my absolute favorite lines, in one of my favorite episodes for dialogue (almost every line in the show is gold)!

He could have a second career testing computer systems, like those professional gamers video game companies hire to find bugs. Having your program/device be labeled "certified Kirk-proof" would be money in the bank.
