Scruffy-looking untitled Han Solo film thread

Some pretty cool visuals there, I love the Star Destroyer in the storm, the singer, and Lando in the fur coat.
Wow, it's weird seeing Emilia Clarke with her real hair, I've only ever seen her on GOT with the white wig.
Feeling a bit better about the movie now, and really looking forward to the longer trailer tomorrow.

Best commercial for an upcoming commercial that I've seen in years.

It looks cool. I'm in.

At first I didn't like the 'Fresh look' for the Falcon, but then I realized if Lando is the owner at this point, he's probably the kind of person to keep it looking fancy.

We can say what we want about the actual plot itself once we learn more but we can definitely say this much: Alden Ehrenreich nailed the feathered 1970s hair that Harrison Ford wore in ANH.

I saw the teaser... a few things:

1. nice f/x, that has re-watch value enough to make it worth $1000/ticket, makes up for everything else...
2. little storyline was told, so what's being hidden and why?
3. will Han be reflected as original "Only one shooting" Han, Special Edition "Shot Second" Han, or - help us all - some alternate variant that works just as poorly as Special Edition Han had.
4. What's shown of Han, with any dialogue, seems a bit wet; was he a smuggler infiltrating in the clip or something else?
5. Hope they keep enough continuity; by now (much less 1997) there will be inevitable rough edges (Lando's ship, Han gets it somehow and roughs it up... maybe keeps it for a couple decades since we've never seen it so peroxide-white before...)

May 2018 - that was fast given the production problems... at least they fired the original directors trying to make an outright comedy out of it - what were they thinking... Then again, Ron Howard, guy who butchered and sanitized the very first "bio-pic", aka "A Beautiful Mind", is directing this thing so who knows how Han's alleged youth will be shown, assuming anyone asked.

They spent the entire budget on that 45 seconds. Amazing CGI on "Donald Glover". Much better than "Leia" and "Tarkin" in Rogue One. I almost believed it was the real Donald Glover!
Yeah, but the give away was the ripped of sound effects. Those blasters noises were clearly from ANH!

How was A Beautiful Mind the first bio-pic? There had been movies following the lives of real people for decades before ABM.

I was thinking the same thing. The first biopic I ever saw came out when Howard hadn't even finished Happy Days.

As for Solo, the teaser didn't excite me, but I also have nothing to complain about with it. It looks fine. It'll be interesting to see how "The Star Wars film no one asked for" does in the long run.

All right, all right. You old smoothie.
