Spoilers Why do the same recurring characters implausibly keep popping up?

And what happened to her face. I don't think she was injured in the first two episodes? What happened to her between 2nd and 3rd episode?
there was a war in those 6 months. I assume it's a battle injury. I realy don't need to know more than that. or see how she got mutilated

She was almost assimilate by the Borg. Yeah, I went there. ;)
Yup. Detmer was assimilated by the Borg, but was quickly rescued and underwent a procedure to remove all her Borg implants. However, like 7 of 9, they failed to remove her cranial and left eye implants.

Alternatively, she got suck into a time machine to a universe in which North America is called Panem. All young teenagers and twenty something who lived there had to participate in a game where they hunt each other to the death, called "The Hunger Games."

Detmer took the name Cressida and became one of the game's champions. In a pivotal moment when the game winners band together to attack the Capital of Panem, she disappeared and returned to the Trek Universe. She assumes her old Starfleet position. However, her Cressida personality and hairstyle remains intact and the rest is history ;).

I'd like an episode about Detmer. I find her so fascinating yet know nothing about her. I'd like to know more about her instead of Michael's problems of the week.

I suspect that someone has already said this, but let me repeat: Mirror Detmer was a much more interesting character than Detmer Prime. Shame.

I don't know, Mirror Detmer just had a constantly pissed off look on her face.

She looks genuinely happy here. Happy to see her beloved captain is back.

Hmm, I guess. I was basing my comment on The Wolf Inside, where she seemed to have an omnipresent sneer or glare in all her scenes. Though just to be contrary, I'm going to suggest that her happiness in that scene had less to do with Captain Burnham's return, and more to do with no longer having to serve under Captain Connor.
