Chibnall's doing a fantastic job so far of keeping information locked down, so not sure how much activity this thead will see but we do now have multiple confirmations that the cast and crew have arrived in Cape Town, South Africa this week where they're going to be shooting for the rest of January. Nicer than Cardiff in Winter certainly!
Someone finally got a snap of them shooting in Cape Town. Not very exciting but better than nothing. https://preview.ibb.co/mnJTnR/DTga_K_r_W0_AA_Ypf.jpg
We definitely seem to have a story set in the past. Forgive my ignorance, is that care a 1960's model? If so, it could help support the rumoured season plot.
Well this photo from across the street includes a 1940s American police car. https://preview.ibb.co/mMV6bm/DThr_R55_VMAA3m_I3.jpg Unless they're doing location shooting for a couple of different episodes, you'd think it would have made more sense to go to the States instead. Edit: Just realised that the sign in the first photo says "We cater to white trade only". Is that set dressing or do they still have those in South Africa today?
At last, the Dr fixes the chameleon circuit and the Tardis changes into the period equivalent car which the Dr drives about in throughout thier adventures, works for me.
Night shoot: https://preview.ibb.co/bLW2Ob/9911734272.jpg And if want to see have a major hint about the episode... https://www.cbsnews.com/pictures/civil-rights-landmarks/2/
I'd hope so, largely because I'm struggling to think of a way of working aliens and/or monsters into the story of Rosa Parks and the Montgomery Bus Boycott.
The whole thing is lined with pitfalls, especially if there's any hint at all of the Doctor inspiring her actions.
