Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

The Stargazer is both my greatest disappointment and my greatest frustration with Eaglemoss- it was second in my must have list.
I simply cannot understand how someone could look at any reference and the replica prototype and think it was good enough for production. I can handle some detail missing or not shaped right, but that huge laminated primary hull is as big a design element as the four nacelles. I do hope they may correct the ship and release it as the Hathaway

Ben Robinson teases 3 ships...out of 8. Your guess is a good as mine which one we’ll be getting.

Ships are:
Whorfin class
TOS-R Tholian web spinner
Groumall
SS Merchantman (ST III)
Dominion battlecruiser
Bajoran Bestri class (re-use freighter)
Degra’s/Xindi Insectoid shuttle

tholian web spinner, dominion battlecruiser and the insectoid shuttle would be my guess. two of the three are CG models that likely still exist.

Yes, those would be "low lying fruit" for future models, as it were. The Merchantman would be on all-new build, from limited source material, of an extremely over-greebled miniature. They could probably start with this set of blueprints from L. Allen Everhart, Jr. (higher-res version found here) which, for lack of better information, is probably the best source material available in existence. That is, provided Image-G and ILM didnt preserve their own build documentation from way back when.

Anybody ever try & have Eaglemoss accelerate your subscription? This would be for issues that are in stock.

My scenario is for November they sent 110 & issue 99 which I had been missing. For December they just sent 111 by itself which other US subscribers got in November.

The current US release for December is 112/113 so now I’m a month behind. I’m wondering if I can authorize them to go ahead & charge me to get back on track but based on prior experience I’m a little weary of trying.

I did that but it was almost three years ago with zero problems. However, I don't believe the current so-called "customer service center" in PA was up and running at that time so who knows what might happen.

Yeah, that’s what I’m afraid of. I’d rather just run into another out of stock issue than have them mess up the account.

This is exactly why I don't try to correct things when duplicates get sent or when open holes appear in the collection. It's sad that we must now always assume that abject failure is the default state for their business model, but in this case, caution is always the best advice I can give when dealing with the troglodytes that work there, I'm afraid.

Picked up #114 (out) today, the Challenger-Class USS Buran, our fourth Wolf 359 ship (fifth if you count the Saratoga)
I guess because of its height it's a little smaller than most Starfleet models, but makes a nice addition to the doomed fleet.

The Enterprise ringship was also due in shops today, but apparently there's been a slight delay in sending them out. My newsagent said the Buran came with a note saying as such, but it didn't specify when it would be available. Oh well, hopefully soon anyway.

Ring ship is wobbly as heck, so be careful carrying it home.

refit enterprise star trek beyond special coming this spring:

not the most flattering angle, but it does show eaglemoss has not incorporated the revised phaser emitters. makes me wonder if they're just reusing the older kelvin timeline enterprise's saucer, which would be a shame as that would also make the impulse engine incorrect. still very excited about this model, i love the revised configuration of this ship.

FINALLY! The Beyond refit Enterprise!

Dare I dream for the Beyond Enterprise-A soon? (Well sooner than Trek (1)4 ’s release anyway.)
soon? you daren't .

ben said to trekcore this summer that it wouldn't happen til after a 4th kelvin timeline film. not sure how long we have to wait before it's clear whether or not that film will even be made, but i assume that means a model is a long way off.

my question is: will we get an XL kelvin enterprise? and if so, which?

I have been looking forward to that one too. I do want to see more space stations, though. The DS9 and K-7 specials are excellent, but there are a few others that I think should make an appearance.

I am not a big fan of the Beyond Refit because in my opinion it changes a near perfect Enterprise design. Still I considered buying the Eaglemoss model but if it will look like the one on the photo I will skip it. There are too many inconsistencies. The saucer is the same one as on the first model, phaser emitters and windows are wrong (but al least it has windows on the saucer rim but their arrangement is wrong) and the holding at the back implies that the impulse engines also will be unchanged. And it seems Eaglemoss just scaled down the warp nacelles of the first model because they are inaccurate in the same way. (There is no registry on the inner side of the nacelles.)
