Law & Crime| Hillary Clinton Supporters Are Apparently Plotting To Falsely Accuse Bernie Sanders Of Sexual Assault

Colin Kalmbacher via Law & Crime said:
Fane’s Twitter handle is @gabyfane and her bio reads: “‘We are the ones we have been waiting for.’ – Barack Obama CA, NYC, NJ, UK, CA, PDX #StillWithHer” Notably, Fane’s bio also contains a donut emoji, which is widely understood among online left-leaning communities to be a symbol for liberals and Democrats opposed to socialists and the so-called Sanders wing of the Democratic Party.
...
Upset Democrats have registered their discontent with Franken’s precipitous downfall in various ways, including: (1) suggesting Franken’s accusers are rightwing plants; (2) slut-shaming the women who have come forward; and (3) fearfully reproving those who called for Franken’s resignation out of concerns that he could be replaced by a Republican in the U.S. Senate.
The third response is curiously misplaced because Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton is a progressive member of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party (the Minnesota-specific party that works and caucuses with the Democratic Party nationally) and will almost certainly replace Franken with a member of the same party.
But the idea of weaponizing the #metoo movement against committed left-wing politicians is a new look for the Hashtag Resistance. Though some Clinton partisans have favorably responded to the idea of falsely accusing the democratic socialist Sanders in retribution for the tanking of neoliberal Franken, most replies to Fane’s suggestion have been decidedly negative.

Now, the headline is obviously sensationalistic, seeing as this is so far only a small group of people. Nonetheless, this should be on the record, in case of any future accusations.

It also shows that, as important and necessary the #metoo campaign is, there has to remain some kind of scrutiny for such allegations.

The idea of intentionally making false accusations against anyone, for any reason (especially if it's just to gain political leverage against them), is absolutely disgusting.

Whoever the hell this gabyfane is, she's full of shit.

So, because two idiots talked shit on Twitter about creating false accusations against Sanders, the jackasses at that blog decided to use their much bigger influence to falsely impugn Hillary Clinton —who had nothing to do with this— with clickbait and implications, and to cast doubt on the #MeToo movement at the same time, as if these two women discredit it. Fuck that irresponsible and hypocritical article where they did exactly the thing they're complaining about. They've accomplished nothing but giving the right wing more ammunition to use.

Yes, she is. Since you’re on Twitter, perhaps you could respond to her. The first sentence of your comment here would be perfect.

The problem with false accusations of anything is that people with true allegatoions against someone might not come forward for fear of not being believed.

IIRC, her Twitter feed has been taken offline. (We can only hope. :sigh: )

That too.

It takes an awful person to say something like that, but what she doesn't consider because she's so blinded by hatred of Sanders is that it's entirely possible that there is someone who has been assaulted by him (I sincerely hope not as I quite like him but you never know) and now because of this bullshit stunt, she or he may not be believed.

It doesn't matter if it's one person or a thousand on the internet Once something gets out their it will be seen as something alot of people approve off because nobody pays attention to the details. Granted as someone who is into conspiracy theories I can also say this person might not really be a Clinton supporter but is in fact a republican supporter or heck a Russian hacker just putting something out their and see if it gains traction. My favorite theory is it's Hilary herself!:shifty:
