I wanna say the Burl version is in the public domain now.
Marc Guggenheim tells Comicbook.com that Firestorm's replacement will be an established Arrowverse character. So maybe Constantine, maybe Kid Flash, maybe someone else, but it is someone we know.
Does Hartley Rathaway qualify? The Flash writers seem to have forgotten about him.

Considering the big villain, Mallus, this season, has a supernatural element, I feel like Constantine would make a lot of sense as the new team member. His skills would be a good fit.
But that would only work for this season, as long as Mallus is the threat. I can't see him giving up his demon-fighting, supernatural-artifact-protecting gig permanently in order to muck about with time. I'd rather it were a character who could carry forward into the next season, like Kid Flash or Mister Terrific.
True. My idea only works if Constantine stayed just for this season and then left. The logic would be that Constantine would stick around to help the Legends defeat Mallus since he is such a grave threat and then leave once it is done.
Well, they could shift the show a bit into more magical/demon threats even after the end of this season, but that would be a hell of a shift to accommodate just one character in an ensemble. Plus, I don't think Constantine would be a good fit for the show, as it is way too silly for him, and it already has the outsider guy making cynical comments in Mick.
The Ray reminds me a lot of Firestorm but I don’t know that they are looking for that literal of a replacement.
I would love to see John Wesley Shipp as Jay Garrick. He would replace Victor Garber as an older mentor for the group. I am not expecting that though.
The article says Russell Tovey's on Quantico and isn't currently available. So it won't be the Ray. Although I agree about the resemblance to Firestorm, at least visually. There was a moment or two in the climactic "Crisis" battle where I mistook the Ray for Firestorm, before reminding myself that Firestorm was no longer on the board.
"Cool" = Cold. My guess would be Leo Snart decides to make his stay a permanent one.

Alex was just a one night stand. I mean, if they'd actually date, that would be the mother of all long distance relationships.
Fukushima doesn't seem to have anything to do in 2018 -- and since there's probably not going to be another Squad movie...
