Who's Mr. Pink?
He has to function within the parameters that that Paramount sets. So, yes, I do feel it is premature to cry failure when it's barely been announced.
This couldn't hurt and may be a huge shot in the arm for the franchise.
Sure, he said he likes tos and tng but I'm honestly tired of tos fanboys who think they'll fix this trek by turning it into a self serving tos fanfiction of old episodes.
A lot of STID was a retread of Space Seed/TWOK, so I don't quite see what your point is here?
Um... the fact that the villain said his name was Khan? And he had a bunch of followers stored in life support capsules? And they were all supposed to be superhumans from the 20th century?Outside of the radiation chamber scene, I'm always curious what folks see in Into Darkness, that makes them think of "Space Seed" and The Wrath of Khan?
Which was backstory and motivation but barely factored into the story.Um... the fact that the villain said his name was Khan? And he had a bunch of followers stored in life support capsules? And they were all supposed to be superhumans from the 20th century?

Not sure I expect this to ever become an actual movie, and equally unsure what I'd expect it to be like, if it does.
But not as a Klingon, or anything so predictable as that. Make him the admiral from Starfleet Command, who appears on the Briefing Room monitor with orders for Enterprise & crew. And make him teetering on the brink of going off the deep end. Not howling mad - just teetering.-Also can't wait to see Samuel L. Jackson in a Star Trek movie!![]()

Whatever. I gave nuTrek three chances to impress me and it failed every single time. If nuKirk hasn't grown up by now and nuUhura still hasn't stopped whining on duty about her love life, I can't see anything changing by a 4th movie.
It's Trek Jim, but not as we know it...best news for the weak so far in media. hell yeah to tarentino
Apart from the villain being Khan, him reviving/trying to revive his followers, and the radiation chamber scene, there isn't much that does, really.Outside of the radiation chamber scene, I'm always curious what folks see in Into Darkness, that makes them think of "Space Seed" and The Wrath of Khan?
He pretty much has, though. He had by the end of Into Darkness, look at the speech he gave. Look at how he put the safety of the Enterprise and the crew above his own. And the Kirk in Beyond is far, far more mature than ST09 Kirk. Don't forget in the Kelvin timeline we're still a couple of years behind where we join Kirk & co in the prime universe. If nuKirk hasn't grown up by now
You know TWOK didn't coin that phrase, right?from his TWOK reference (revenge is a dish...)
