I've been watching a few of Vance Major`s films for the last few months, he`s pretty prolific.
This one is interesting and I get that he`s going for sad tragedy here. The problem here is that we just don`t get to know Emily very much so her death doesn`t really affect us as much as it should. She comes in to his life, he`s all stumbles, jump to later for ''pre-first date'', then bang she dies...
Perhaps if there were a scene or two showing more what makes her unique (she plays a musical instrument? she's a prankster? she loves kids?) or even showing her as she dies tragically (she gets trapped and suffocates horribly?)
a really good effort, thanks for all the videos!

sadly when i made the film i was in the middle of making 4 other films that day and in a time crunch. lol in a perfect world i would have spent more time to character development, as i feel that is always what is at the heart of a story. but eh, i did what i could do, and so the simplicity of the two had to be the charm which i think came across and had to be the selling point. given the limitations, its all i had. im glad you watched it tho and i appriciate the feed back. i always enjoy discussing it. the good and the bad. like most ppl dont realize that we didnt have a fully functioning bridge, and i had to rework my script, with just the engineering station. so in the middle of 5 films, on a one day shoot, i was rewriting, and acting. no easy task.
fun tho lol and a great group of ppl, both in front of and behind the camera. i wouldnt trade the experience tho. just a learning exp

im glad you both took the time to watch

I've seen this kind of story before a lot but that doesn't make it any less tragic when it happens. I love your films and how they all connect praticularly this one and it's sequel which bring the fan films together as one continuity. Great work!

When I first got into fan films, most were trying to protect their spot. Get all the credit. I hate that. To me, linking everyone together is at the heart of what we're abt. Enjoying the fun of fan films. None of them are perfect, hell I've got no budget for most my films. Think you can tell which ones more than others lol but I do have heart. As do so many others. To me, sharing those memories with so many cool ppl, that's awesome. Even if I don't have the clicks on YouTube. The numbers don't mean anything to me, it' the fun of doing it and sharing these story's. When they touch ppl, that makes it so look worth it.
