If they are in the mirror universe they wouldn't be geographically lost?

oh the other hand if they jumped in time as well as location, whatever they use for navigation might seem skewed until they understood what had happened and compensated for it. just guessing. Nice to have a show I can't binge watch in a couple of weeks.

I thought that's what the navigator effectively said, she couldn't determine their actual position after the jump because star readings weren't lining up?

My guess is that the writers took the "Mirror" term a little too literally and the mirror universe is a true mirror universe.

I think so too. They've had a bad jump before, when they nearly went to a sun, but in that case they seemed to get their bearings quickly enough.

And, maybe this mirror universe is different from *the* Mirror Universe, and if so, they can play with the concept without messing with possible continuity issues.

They're going to wind up in that alternate universe in Futurama where everyone wears a hat.

I'm hoping for the insane Farscape one where they're all playing each other's roles.

My guess is Lorca was shooting for where he first entered our universe from his own (the Mirror Universe) - the place where the Buran was destroyed.

Difference being, in his universe, the Buran took a lot of Klingon ships with it.

(EDIT: I see MadCloner came up with the theory first. Credit to him for it!)

No I think Lorca was just afraid of loosing his ship so he did a random jump to an alternate reality

No, look at a map in a mirror, left is right and right is left. That's why they can't get a bearing.

What if they jumped in a Mirror Universe AND jumped in time (or into a MU that is running faster/slower than ours)? That would explain why they wouldn't get a bearing because the stars are not in the right place yet. Or wandered further already...
So if they ended up in the past, L.Rell could give birth to a Human/Klingon Hybrid. This one is then known as Kahless and is going to Qo'nos. When he spreads his DNA among the population he is changing the Klingons to the way we know them. If they ended up in the Future they could see in the Mirror Universe what is in store for theirs (ours) and go back and try to change it.

    Just my 2 cents...
