News FOX selling out to Disney?

I really hope this happens. the article points out that Disney might not want to shell out too much money, but an actual X-Men/Avengers crossover, even if it has no connection to the established FOX stuff, would really prin tmoney at this point. Even if Marvel rebooted the X-Men, the FOX movies established the X-Men to the general audience enough that they'd be a safer bet then stuff like Ant-Man, and with Marvel Studios behind it and all the merchandising potential Disney could make even more trucks full of money.

It will be funny if FOX sells only the Fantastic Four (and not the valuable X-Men) and then Disney just sits on the property without doing anything substantial with it because they don’t care about it. Heck, even Marvel Comics don’t care about making F4 comics anymore!

I don't want it to happen. I'm getting more and more uneasy about Disney, which seems to be developing into some entertainment monster.

Developing? :wtf:

I'm pretty sure they are already there, with owning ABC, ESPN, Lucasfilm and Marvel, among others.

Or. . . are they responding to Fox's mishandling of the property and/or intentionally devaluing it in the hopes of reacquiring it?

Some of Marvel's best villains are FF properties (Dr Doom, for one). The X-Men don't have any real good villains aside from Magneto (Apocalypse and Sinister are easily replaceable). That's why want the FF back.

Yeah, right. That would be a plausible explanation only if Marvel Comics had the guts to do the same for X-Men. But since Marvel keeps releasing a million X-Men/Wolverine/Deadpool titles a month that’s not it.
