Yeah, that sounds like an admin cockup. They should refund you if you return the models and magazines - they have a freepost address for returns in the UK but elsewhere not sure. If all else fails, you could complain to the credit card company.

Yeah, I've emailed them back and just waiting to see what they say. Don't use credit cards, I subscribed with the debit card from my bank account, but pretty sure they have a decent getting your money back scheme.

Perhaps it goes to show that the markup on their products must be significant enough that paying for and processing returns is probably not cost effective.

I've had similar things from other companies, I'm putting it down to them just taking the loss from their own mistake.

I suspect the combined cost to Eaglemoss of the standard magazine and model is no more than £3 and the specials - even the large models - not that much more, perhaps £10 at most. Postage and packing is probably another £3 so they make about £5 per standard issue for a cover price of £10.99 and a lot more on the specials.

Michael Curran posted in the Facebook group that in Britain the USCSS Nostromo is available to order (not pre-order) for £49.99. Now apply that COMIC17 discount and you can get it for £39.99.

I have no interest in figurines, so I hope we get more Alien/Predator ships out of that line.

It looks like a nice model but I'll be sensible and give it a miss, for space and money issues  But whenever the USS Sulaco from Aliens is out I'll definitely get that one

(different franchise but ships from Avatar would be nice too)

In another thread it was said that John Eaves recently mentioned there were about 50-60 new designs made for the show. Didn't Ben recently say they were doing "all ships in Discovery"?

    50-60 ships?!?

^ Technically, it’s means up to 60 designs were made for the show. Not necessarily that they were all used.

For example, Eaves made designs for the first abortive STO that never entered the final game.

Good point. We already do have quite a few classes mentioned at the Binaries. Looks to be about 6 or 10 Fed ships alone. Not as enamored with the Klingon designs as much, but I won't turn them away either.

Got an email about my next special & I was excited thinking it was for K7. Turned out to be for the Spock’s Jellyfish special that I bought earlier this year when my subscription was messed up.

So I called to skip it & that went fine. He mentioned the next special I would probably get would be in February but there wasn’t a way to accelerate it. If this repeats it would be the Franklin which I already have. Also asked about my missing numbers 98/99 and he stated they’re trying to get missing issues out by the end of the year/early next year and are restocking lots of things. Based on past experiences I’ll it believe when I see it.

The actual phone call experience went better than last time. I got someone before the greeting message was over as opposed to a 45 minute wait last time (May 2017). He was able to pull up my account just using the caller ID without me having to provide account number, etc and was much more pleasant than the last person.

Did anyone else get the email from eaglemoss today to do a survey about future products. It seems that they are developing a highly detailed up to 80cm model of the ent-D kit although I think it’s a long way off production. They asked if I were to buy it would I like it to have a detachable Warp core and captains yacht. It said you’d need nothing more than a screw driver to build it and that it would have lights etc. They also said would I be interested in the following:
    Die cast figures
    Busts of characters
3d chess set with characters making up the pieces
    Trading card
    Vinyl collection.
I’d be interested in the large scale model but only after the starship collection is finished.
They also wanted me to rank the series from most favourite to least.

Seems there is more Star Trek to come from eaglemoss

80cm?? That's 31 inches! Depending on the quality of such a product, and how well it's received, may pave the way to other uber-large-size models. If they're affordable (relatively speaking), Eaglemoss may position themselves as a direct competitor to QMx. Interesting...

So, to answer your question, no, I haven't received any emails from Eaglemoss. Seeing as how you're using that pesky metric system (;)), I assume you're in a non-US market to which the emails were sent. We may see them later, but not today.

80 centimeters? 31.5 inches? From Eaglemoss? I’m afraid to ask the price!

I'd totally go for figurines of literally every character like the Doctor Who ones.
