Hmmm... We need a new lesbian.

Although...

It always comes back to that damn horse.

Two transitional forms... A male human/horse hybrid superhero, and a human female stand up comic.

Comet can date both Danvers sisters, and it will be hilarious.

Although, what about Scandal Savage?

She's coping with both her dad being dead, and never having given birth to her.

So the future is basically a holiday now.

I enjoyed this week's episode.

I too liked the plane rescue. I shouted at the screen, "Oh, this should break the plane in two," and it did. And it was clear that Lena had to climb up; nicely done.

The final scene where Supergirl confronts Morgan Edge in his office reminded me of the verbal sparring between Superman and Lex Luthor in the Lois & Clark TV show. Edge seems to be fulfilling the role of Lex Luthor on the show now.

Much as Max Lord did in the first season, although he ended up being not so bad. I'd love to see Peter Facinelli return so we could see Lord and Edge face off. I'd also love to see Cat Grant confront Edge.

I never really saw Max Lord as a Lex Luthor type since he was never really that bad. Morgan Edge has much more of that ruthless, cutthroat nature that I associate with Lex.

Another solid episode, sucks that Maggie and Alex have broken up, but since they had to exit Maggie somehow this was probably the best way to do it.

I like how they've been developing Sam, on the other hand Morgan Edge is a bit of a dud, he's just an evil rich guy with no apparent motivation other than being evil. Last time at least he had something to gain by blowing up a neighborhood, but this time he tried to kill some kids just to get revenge on Lena.

I realize that sometimes you have to move the plot along, but a device that can analyze a sample over the phone and detect a brand new molecule thingy and explain everything that molecule does within seconds... c'mon, seriously?

In The Phantom Menace, Qui-Gon sent readings to Obi-Wan to determine young Anakin's midi-chlorian count basically the same way. ;)

In retrospect, sure, but we didn't know that to start with. Indeed, the early episode where he created crises to test the limits of Supergirl's powers (and led to the death of one person, remember) was very similar to the early Lois and Clark episode where John Shea's Lex did the same to test Superman.

Oh, that's just a smaller version of something that actually exists: https://www.treehugger.com/gadgets/...rtable-air-and-water-pollution-detectors.html

There are other kinds of detectors that can be attached to or Bluetooth-interfaced with a smartphone to transmit their data over the web, and can detect things like air pollution or radiation: https://www.treehugger.com/clean-technology/environmental-sensors.html

After all, a smartphone is basically a powerful pocket computer that interfaces with a global information network. It's an amazing piece of sci-fi technology that we take for granted and mostly just use for tweets and selfies, but it can do so much more. Today's smartphones already have sophisticated cameras, motion sensors, thermal sensors, etc. built into them, so it's not that big a hop to adding other types of sensors. They're halfway to being tricorders already. (Well, 2/3 of the way, since tricorders were originally named for their triple function, sensor/computer/recorder.)

No. The device you linked to isn't even close to being capable of taking readings that can identify specific random molecules. The WaterBot and CATTFish measure only total dissolved solids (TDS) and temperature. TDS is simply an aggregate measure of how contaminated the water is. There are no sensors on the device that can be used, even remotely, to identify specific contaminants, especially random ones. It only measures temperature and conductance (as described in your link).

It won't be many years before the sci-fi device is reality, though.

I'm kind of suspecting that James was shot mostly so he can have a non-incapacitating injury that would keep him from Guardianing. I was expecting it to come up immediately, but maybe the writers aren't as eager as I am to put that storyline out of our misery. Speaking of orphans from last season, it'd be nice to know if Winn and... that alien lady... are still dating.

Oh, that's fun, I was just thinking of how I missed Defiance.

Hopefully that will be the last we see of the Alex/Maggie relationship for the next several episodes and they can focus on the Reign arc, Morgan Edge and "Supergirl" and move the story forward. Pacing started to feel a bit like the snoring dead with to much filler

They want to tell sapphic stories, so they are going to tell sapphic stories, no matter how many of their lesbians jump ship.

Blond Doctor on Grey's Anatomy is on Girlfriend 5.

Hell, Blonde Doctor is Blonde Doctor 2, because Blonde Doctor 1 didn't have any stickitudity with Callie.

"Sigh".

Pretty sure Jeremy Jordan said over the summer hiatus that they were going to continue the relationship this season. Hope that's still the plan, because Lyra brings both the funny and the sexy.

Floriana might not have any more currently scheduled appearances, but Maggie's 'footprint' on the series isn't over.

I also don't think Alex will have much time for romance in coming weeks because they're pretty heavily telegraphing her taking Sam's place in Ruby's life, at least temporarily, but also possibly permanently.

It does seem arbitrary that they'd break up over this -- it was never adequately explored why Maggie was so adamantly against ever having kids

I guess they could have come up with something, in fact they already have a fairly decent built-in reasonable explanation with both of them being involved in high risk jobs and maybe not wanting to involve a kid into that(sort of a Reverse Oliver situation), but in the end whatever the reason is, it all comes down to it that some people want kids, and some don't, so I'm actually glad they skipped the days of futile arguing over "the reason" and went straight for the denouement.

Maggie helped Alex express her homosexuality. It's too bad that Alex can't help Maggie explore the issues she has with being a parent.
