My Pre TOS ship Deckplans

The Transporter is similar or the next step up from the NX01 Transporter, as this ship is the next step up from the NX toward the Constitution Class.

That being the case, is the recreational and living deck really the best place for it? I would have thought that buried in the Engineering section would be a more likely home, with access to all the engineers and extra radiation shielding that the Transporter would require

I know what you mean, but I definitely wanted the Transporter in the Primary Hull (Sphere), Ive been thinking of moving it down a few levels to the security areas more, but just haven't gotten around to it.

The NX01 had an easily accessible Transporter that was rated for personnel, not just cargo, I guess there's no reason i cant have a Cargo only Transporter in the Engineering hull, and the personnel Transporter closer to the Security areas for Boarding/Landing parties.

Alright, based on things seen on screen, I've always assumed the torpedoes were solid "coffin-like" as we see them, but are then SURROUNDED by energy when fired. Not sure how this would work, but that's my opinion. Maybe the energy is produced by the launcher, or maybe the energy is produced by the "coffin". Maybe both.
Canon and related non-canon sources largely agree that there IS a physical casing, which contains a warhead, and a small engine providing thrust, and maneuvering thrusters.
It may be very fast, but also slower-moving to track a 'locked' of 'painted' target without overshooting the target.
Can be 'fire-and-forget'/shot in a straight line, or guided.

Hey All, Just letting you know that this project isnt dead, Ive just taken some time off of it.

I was unhappy with a few things in the "Head" Section, so Ive been doing a (slight) re-design.

Hopefully I will get some plans up soon.

Thanks.

If I were very rich, I'd comission lots of ships--and CGI that is movie quality--just to build up a SPFX stockpile over time--and donate that so future movie ships aren't rushed.

Just a few tweaks to my Daedalus, there were a few things bugging me.

Can you spot them?

The little model in the observation room is the only thing that stands out. Speaking of which, while I realize this is a problem with many canon Deck 1 / Deck A, forcing people to go through the bridge to reach other compartments seems inefficient and distracting.

I added that model yes, re-worked the Turbo-lift so that it fit more in ts wedge shaped area.

I only envision Bridge staff and their guests/attendants to need to access these areas.

The only rooms you need to pass through the Bridge to get to are the Situation Room and Forward Observation Room.
You can access the Ready Room through the Briefing Room, and can access the Communications Control through the Security Station.

Thanks for you comment though.

I just spotted the 24th century style Jefferies Tube hatches! Like the warning tape - a sensible addition ;)
