Can't be having young women having one drink and showing sexual agency. Disgusting.

Yeah, Stamets and Burnham, and maybe Lorca for his own murdering pleasure, and I guess Tyler to keep Burnham in line, all needed to be kept safe during his final loop. So maybe Mudd was extra careful that time in putting all the pieces together. He knows Stamets ought to be scheming and undermining him again, but he also knows that Stamets has been doing that multiple times already, and might not suspect that Burnham told Stamets about her plan before to offer herself to the Klingons. Mudd lets 20-some minutes go by under the belief that whatever they have cooked up will be easily bested by him, yet again, and he will have his four pieces in play when he contacts the Klingons and moves on with his gambit.

Like me, Mudd can't even begin to understand how Stamets got everyone to agree to their plan in such a short time.

Hm 4dimensional beeings must be (from aquantum mechanics point of view) in time and space at multiple place at the same time (Heisenberg's uncertainty principle/quantum superposition of different paths). They have to see what Mudd is doing which violates probably there space/time protocols. If they have any. So Harry Mudd obtaining such device is very very unlikly esspecialy from a time and space perspective. Screen writers must be adviced on this principle accordingly when they write scripts. Or we end up watching Fairy tales.

I thought that was weird too, and super stupid on Stamets' part. in the next loop Mudd could have and should have instantly sought Stamets and stopped him from alerting the others. He doesn't need to kill him in order to do this.

Seems like a recipe for a stalemate, to me. Without control of the ship, Mudd cannot win except by restarting the loop and trying again. However much second nature taking control of the ship may be for him after so many repetitions, it still cannot be an instantaneous process. Meanwhile, Stamets logically goes directly to Burnham as soon as the loop resets, placing him directly in the middle of dozens of crewmembers. Mudd has to choose between controlling the ship and preventing Stamets interference because he cannot do the latter without revealing himself, but he cannot reveal himself without the former and expect to win.

No, they just threw time and space toys into space for whoever happened to pick them up (including not just the Bajorans, but also the Cardassians).

The Orbs in Cardassian possession were stolen from Bajor. I'm pretty sure Kira says at one point that the Orbs were sent to Bajor over a period of 10,000 years. I always took this to mean they were all found on the planet itself, although it's possible some were picked up by solar ship.

So, while a character of dubious intent tries to steal a special go-anywhere drive, and end the war, the crew are stuck in a Timeloop.
Only one man knows something isn’t right, and he’s having a hard time persuading the crew...perhaps if one of them can share a secret, he can convince them before it’s too late....

    Lol.
Actually it wasn’t bad. But coincidences are funny....

Assuming a being able to see block time from outside of space/time (we're actually those kind of beings ourselves--we just don't "see" it all at once) then they knew Mudd was going to fuck himself over in the end anyway. One of the oddities of Einstein's work is a lot of people missed he gave a decent way to explain omniscience.

The real question is would they be able to stop him in the first place if they knew he succeeded or whether they let him get away with it because they knew he'd fail in the end or both.

I didn't notice this problem in the episode. What did Burnham say or do that couldn't be explained by off-camera discussions she (presumably) had with Stamets?

It was a decent episode. Have a couple of nitpicky stuff regarding Mudd's plan and actions. Though the thing that made me roll my eyes was the dance stuff. Really all it was missing was for Burnham to say, "Stamets, teach me about this feeling you Humans call 'love'."

Was the power flickering at the party ever explained? Was it actually anything?

that was the most awkward episode for me.. not the episode per se.. but cause every time Rapp was on screen I was thinking about the whole K.Spacey thing and it was really distracting...
