Stamets did progress character wise but it's like he's not himself. You know like when Tuvok had a brain injury. I'm not sure if the 'progress' is going to be the way he will always be.. maybe. Did I imagine he showed some kind 'conduit' thing on his arm?

He did. Culber has been working to make the interfacing process less painful, since Stamets continues to insist on using himself as the central component to the spore drive.

This is my favorite episode so far. Stamets was just awesome, especially when he seemed high at the beginning. I like that he's warming up to Michael. Cadet Tilly continues to be my favorite character in the franchise. Plus it was nice to see an actual party on Star Trek. Mudd worked a lot better in this episode, I especially loved the Lorca death montage.

The party was kind of wrong era feel about it. Honestly this whole timeline ten years before TOS is being terribly messed up in its depiction. It's way too advanced at times that throwing the odd word like 'groovy' in is not cutting it.
Yeah, because TNG NEVER did anything like that....oh, wait:
Beaucoup was widely used in Vietnam even before the US military presence. Having been there in the late 1960s, I recall it being used by Vietnamese people trying to communicate with Americans (It WAS, after all, a foreign word) and having a comparative sense of very or a lot of. The weather might be characterized as "boo-coo hot" or an overweight person as "boo-coo fat".
^^^
And what does the above have to do with all this?

From TNG's - "Lonely Among Us" (Episode 7 of TNG's first season BTW):
TROI: It's just a feeling that he's, well, that he's closed part of his mind to me. I just feel that the Captain has become, perhaps dangerous.
RIKER: If he's dangerous. If.
LAFORGE: Then he'd have to be relieved of command. Which you could do, Doctor, but it's beaucoup trouble if you're wrong.

Yep Star Trek has never used colloquial 20th century words and phrases in it's episodes...oh, wait... :rommie:

Could Barron Grimes ship be the DISCO version of the J Class?

Ok, BEFORE to see the episode, who is put those funny (maybe even ridiculous) names to episodes???
will be next "Cold hearts as a shower waters", "Pizzas is better cold served at nights", or.. "A better future for boldly bald men"... kind of things???
The title comes directly from Homer's Iliad, a renowned work of classical literature.

Klingons losing the war despite it suppose to be going on for 4 years. I expect the Klingons will make a comeback.

The more I get to know them, the more and more I like the characters of Discovery. Honestly, with the exception of DS9 and TOS, I never really *liked* the majority of Star Trek characters. Not to say I disliked them, I just didn't care about them.

With Discovery though I've found myself liking the majority of the cast. It's a refreshing experience when it comes to Trek.
