As Ovation has pointed out, you're insinuating a lot more than what is actually there. I don't see how it's any different so far than the beginning of any other relationship in Star Trek history (for example, Jadzia/Worf and B'Elanna/Tom).

She fell from grace, but doesn't give a poop, and it's not like she's still falling.
She can't be the hero because some one else usually does the heavy lifting when it comes to day saving, also Michael is too tarnished with feet of clay from her fall, that she doesn't care about.
If Burnham is on a journey, there's no indication that a destination has been set for her heroic quest.

7/10 the best STD episode by far. I'll even go as far as to say that this felt like the first StarTrek episode of STD. I'm not going to focus on the negative stuff right now, because this was the first, truly enjoyable, episode. Loved the music, lights were brighter than usual, characters weren't bitching around, it was exciting and I wasn't falling asleep watching it.
I was cutting a lot of slack the last few episodes by calling them average. But this one does deserve a 7/10 rating. Finally and I almost just cancelled cbsaa.
Most importantly this episode proved that the makers of the show are capable of delivering Star Trek and not the crap it's been until yesterday. Pleasantly surprised and am looking forward for more classic Trek and for all that "edgy originality" to be buried and never revisited. A few more 7/10 episodes and I'll call myself an STD fan.

Seven of Nine was a variant of Spock.
Spock is Michael's brother.

It was pretty decent, though nothing amazing. It felt like Star Trek and I was sufficiently entertained. 7/10
It was a bit weird though how one guy with a phaser could take over entire ship, time loop or not. Presumably Mudd had some sort of dead man's switch on the time thing, so that simply overpowering was not an option.
Also, how did Stella and her dad happen to be so close of Discovery, or did Discovery use shroom drive to get to them and I missed it?

This is so bizarre and wrong it's almost a non sequitur.
6 episodes of her loyalty... mutiny... deep empathy for non human creatures, pragmatism, bravery/heroics. and in the 7th episode exploring her social inadequacies and her kissing a good lookin guy is the thing you think they are using to show us her worth as a lead character?
I really enjoyed this episode. Mudd is funny and sinister both, as he always was, and so were the various Lorca deaths in the time loop and Lorca’s weapons room. I enjoyed Stella and her daddy, the Baron, though I could not possibly care less what kind of ship he has or what its name is.
I enjoyed Burnham’s conversation with Stamets and their dance in the corridor and the start of another friendship. I still think Ash Tyler is Voq. Even the line about him being in good shape after being tortured for seven months points to it.
As for what is canon, why exactly is this a big deal? They’re telling a story. I want to enjoy that story and I have been. But then I suppose there are quite a few things in the Star Trek universe that I do not acknowledge, like Spock’s Brain and These Are The Voyages.

It's just the latest thing he's using to justify his hate for the series. He obviously had a hard time finding something to complain about in this episode.
And the tribble in Lorca's ready room was removed by Saru and not placed back on his desk after the Captain escaped from the Klingons. I know that makes some people think that Lorca was switched out for Voq and thus the tribble had to be disposed of lest "Lorca" be uncovered as a spy, but I prefer to think that Saru put it in the Captain's lab and out of his way.
I think they are just keeping us guessing.
Though I'd still think it much more interesting that Lorca is Voq than tyler, I doubt this is the case.

I loved this episode. If you're still watching every episode just to gripe and rate it a 1, your opinion in invalid at this point. This episode is Trek at its finest.
I gave this one a 9. It felt like a Trek episode, and actually had good character moments in it. I like that they explained via dialogue and short recall clips the numerous loops, as opposed to TNG's "Cause and Effect", which felt tedious to me. Maybe I'm warped, but I liked the clips of Mudd killing Lorca, culminating in the one stranding him in space. Also, Mudd eating a sandwich in the Captain's chair had me laughing.
There were some nice background bits in the After Trek episode, such as the design of Mudd's helmet, and how multiple takes had Rainn Wilson using different nicknames for people (save for Lorca, who he kept the same nickname to annoy Jason Isaacs).
And, this was the first time in a DSC episode that I could actually pick out parts of the incidental music! The recalling of the TOS fanfare when the Baron's ship moves away from Discovery was really nice.
I enjoyed the episode, suspended disbelief and just enjoyed it.

Oh wow... I've just been reading through this thread and seeing everybody mad about this party. Have you guys not ever been to a party??? People drink and make out if there's enough alcohol.
The episode was not really Groundhog Day.Yes, time reset, but the story changed drastically, and it was told from the perspective of the others, not the person learning from the time loop.
