Excelsior Class/Enterprise B Deckplans Blueprints?

I have an assignment to see if someone can answer this for me.
Ships named Excelsior
USS-Excelsior NCC-1718 is a Constitution class Cruiser
USS-Excelsior NX/NCC-2000 is an Excelsior class Battleship/Heavy Cruiser
USS-Excelsior NCC-21445 is a variant Excelsior Heavy Cruiser (like Enterprise-B and the Lakota)
I found a non-canon USS-Excelsior NCC-2000-D. If we say that this ship is counted as canon, what is the 2000-A, B and C?

^^^^
I would disregard 2000-D, personally. The letter suffix should be a very, very, very rare thing reserved for only the most prominent and/or historically significant starship names. As it is, it is used way too much, especially in fandom circles.

Yeah, I am tired of seeing ships with the letter designators in their NCC numbers. It was done with the Enterprise to give honor to what Kirk has done for the Federation. It is his legacy, that is why you shouldn't see a USS-J.T. Kirk. In the what I call the standard timeline, Kirk's dad didn't sacrifice his life to save anyone but did in the Kelvin timeline. That is why in the Kelvin timeline there would be a USS-Kirk. Plus, James Kirk would be a different person than the standard timeline Kirk is. A father has a serious effect on the man his son grows into.Honor, respect, and sacrificing oneself for a greater good is not something that just develops in a person, it is forged.
If a ship is known for its time in service and is destroyed if another is built on the same hull the new ship would be; for example, USS-Lexington II, not USS-Lexington NCC-1709-A (which is the Naval Construction Contract number for the Constitution-class Lexington). The USS-Lexington NCC-1709 was one of the four Constitutions that was lost in action during the M-5 incident (if my memory serves me). That is why the Excelsior-class USS Lexington had a new NCC designation number. As Scotty said: "No A, B, C or D." So if the Enterprise after the D was lost in action would have been another Galaxy class, it would have been USS-Enterprise II, NCC-1701-D, and the next Enterprise of the same starship class would have been a new construction, not a renaming of a starship. It is bad luck to rename a starship. A ship is named when the keel is laid, not when it is launched. It is naval tradition to weld a coin bring the ship's name to the keel when it is laid. I do not know if this tradition would follow into starship construction. Since the next Enterprise after the D was a new class of starship, the new NCC number would have been NCC-1701-E, which we know it was. This would have to continue showing respect to Kirk's achievements. During the commissioning ceremony, the Admiral would have covered the career of ship's named Enterprise and why the name and NCC-1701was transferred to the new ship. Plus, a long speech would have given the Admiral his long speech which Admiral's usually give. LOL! What is the saying, per step of Admiral above O-7 (Rear Admiral) they get one hour of talking during ceremonies? Vice Admiral (2 hours), Admiral (3 hours), Fleet/Flag Admiral (4 hours).

Okay, let's not debate what is and isn't okay to talk about in threads. If you see a problem with a post, just hit “Report” and I will take a look at it. Thank you!

FWIW, I think the posts are okay. I'd prefer to see actual fan art in the Fan Art forum, but it's okay if you want to discuss the finer points of Treknology, too. Let's just not get it out of hand, please. We have a dedicated Trek Tech forum for a reason, you know. :)

Update! Here is what the new layout for the secondary hull looks like. This is sheet 10 which shows the layout of the nacelles.

Hello, Sorry I am new and been catching up and trying to do a lot of research on the Excelsior Refit class and this thread and your deck plans have been the best details and information I have found.

In a different post you provided the link below and it shows Main Engineering on Deck 14.

The post I am replying to has the link below as Main Engineering on Deck 13.

I wanted to inquire on this and also let you know that I have enjoined studying the plans you posted for the Excelsior, the Refit, and your own modifications. If has given me several ideas for other modifications for a custom Excelsior Refit Build that started me in my search to find this page and its wealth of knowledge.

Just some more info about the Excelsior Refit. It has Phaser Strips not dual banks, It has 12 torpedo tubes in four banks of three, It has 16 fighters, four Argo-class shuttles, one Scout shuttle, 30 to 32 other various shuttles (Type 6, Type 7, Type 9 and Type 9a), and 4 Type 11 shuttles. It can saucer separate like the Enterprise-D does; it has a battle bridge and secondary impulse engines (Intrepid-type), and it has over 7 computer cores. The warp core no longer goes through the saucer into the star drive section, it is in the stardrive section only and takes up only six decks, has 24 new-type anti-matter pods, A-M injectors and deuterium injectors. The stardrive has Defiante-type crew quarters to accommodate the crew in an emergency situation. All the labs except two are in the stardrive section (it does have the Enterprise-Bs bulging secondary hull). It has regenerative shielding generators and a TNG-style deflector dish. Basically, the ship was retro fitted to be a viable asset in the 24th century.

Question, Is this details over your 2380 SLEP variant. I really like your idea for changes. I hope to see more of this one along with the other work you are doing.

I've often wondered if you could have a lozenge shaped drop ship parked on the underside cut-out of the bottom of the Excelsior's fan-tail.

You mean something to the like of the Intrepid's aeroshuttle, right? That is an idea. All that is listed there is a Cargo Conveyor System.

Question. Reading up on the Excelsior and Refit class. It is said Sulu ran an 'Emergency Saucer Separation' on his ship. If so where would the primary and secondary hulls part? Also, how would the warp core be ejected if needed, or is that why they preform a Emergency Saucer Separation for this class of ship.
