This week's contest is about fall; what is it like in your neck of the woods? What does it look like to you? What do you think of when autumn comes around? VOTE FOR 2 VOTE FOR 2 VOTE FOR 2 VOTE FOR 2 auntiehill It's the Great Pumpkin-Kai "the spy" tharpdevonport RJDemonicus NecroMonger Avro Arrow
Zero votes thus far for Avro Arrow. Which once again proves me theory: Nobody really likes pumpkin spice. And when two or three votes show up, that'll be considered the "margin of error".
I voted for Avro... but I didn't realize they were a mod so that might of effected my vote.. NO one at all voted for me being the necromonger of the group I feel then in the next life you will vote for me... as I am a necromonger extraordinary
Pumpkin spice strieks again! School evacuated: http://www.mashable.com/2017/10/06/pumpkin-spice-school-evacuation/
Would this be an appropriate time to mention that I *love* Christmas fruit cake? I guess I'm that weird person that likes all the things that no one else does. Although to make myself even weirder, I don't like a lot of the things that Canadians are stereotypically supposed to like. I don't like poutine at all, for example. Well, it's new, I wasn't when I submitted the entry. But now you've got me wondering whether I should continue to participate in the Misc contests. Although I do believe that Locutus enters them too from time to time. I'll have to ponder it... That seems just a slight bit OTT. Although you have reminded me that I seriously need to get out to Bath & Body Works to pick up some of their fall collection stuff, so thank you. On the subject of divisive foods, Tim Hortons has launched a limited edition Buffalo latte, combining a latte with Buffalo sauce flavour. Since I like spice, and am pretty much willing to try (almost) anything once, I would certainly try this. Unfortunately, it's not even available in Canada... it's only found in two locations in Buffalo, NY, until October 20. But if any of you are in Buffalo and want to give it a try, I'd love to know what you think of it!
Not just cake-- fruit cake. The stuff that's like a brick and requires a hacksaw to cut. I think the only person I know in real life who likes fruit cake is my Uncle Jim. My Mother once re-gifted a fruit cake with a story enclosed that there is really only one fruit cake in the world and it just keeps getting passed from person to person eternally. Congratulations. I hope you survive with your humanity intact.
Congrats to @It's the Great Pumpkin - Kai "the spy" and @tharpdevenport ! You win in a tie. Decide amongst yourselves who gets to do what.
Kai, I'd like to do it, if that's okay with you. I win one of these maybe once ever year and a half, so I rarely get a chance.
Congrats to Kai and tharp. And thanks for the votes all. Ah, I see. There must be a lot of bad fruit cake cooks around.
