The author of a popular Facebook Discovery fan page has put it up for sale on eBay.

All this behavior is going to lead to is CBS regulati g fan sites the way they did the fan films.

I'd suggest that we as a community try to self-regulate and shut this kind of thing down.

If you are a member you could encourage the owner to add more mods or shut down if the site has become too big for him. You could report the page to Facebook or eBay as a scam. Anything else you could think of, I don't have all the answers.

The person is trying to sell CBS's intellectual property in violation of fair use copyright law.

Please help shut this down.

I wouldn't go so far as to say that. Trying to sell an FB page is an open violation of the FB ToS, and as FB is a much bigger gorilla than any movie production company, they will handle it swiftly and quietly.
