Fair Point! That's a philosophy that has got me into lots of bother over the years!Since I paid for it, I might as well.

Bit idiotic for the Captain of such a critical experiment to be captured so easily, by all rights he should never leave the protection of the ship for any reason, in fact non of them should its a security risk.
Why should he need to take a shuttle anywhere? They can zap anywhere they want to go now.
So far two successful jumps of a tech that killed the crew of the ONLY other ship to use it. makes sense they'd only use it for very important missions/situations.Why should he need to take a shuttle anywhere? They can zap anywhere they want to go now.

Also, if Lorca did use Discovery to jump to the conference or wherever he's going, there would no doubt be complaints of what jerks Lorca/Burnham/the crew/starfleet are for allowing a defenceless creature to be tortured for their convenience.
Yeah it looks good, surprised they have gone for a close up on Lorca so soon into the season, Saru seems to be having trouble dealing with the pressure.

Unless he intends to deploy a furry weapon of mass destruction on the Klingons ship, makes me wonder if he allows himself to be captured on purpose but I cant really see the upside of such an act, Lorca knows too much to be risked in such a way.
they said some time ago that they weren't happy about how ENT had dealt with canon, maybe they meant this?

Could it be that Voq is altered to look human (that she meant that by 'you have to sacrifice everything), and that the producers really want to go for a 'infiltration war' instead of the Augment virus... they said some time ago that they weren't happy about how ENT had dealt with canon, maybe they meant this?
I presumed they meant the Xindi/Delphic Expanse, but maybe I'm just projecting my own thoughts.
Well, I'd maybe bunk with Tilly...because I like redheads. My feelings on ENT are basically the reverse of Discovery. I generally hate the writing on ENT but I find it one of the most likable crews with entirely talented actors.
Discovery has a great setting and worldbuilding but none of the characters are peopel I'd want to bunk with at Starfleet Academy.

The Discovery main cast on the ship is at the moment ridiculously small (5) which due to random chance makes it less likely you'd find someone personable than on any of the other shows.
Eh yes and no. There's Saru, Burnham, Spore Guy, Tilly, and Lorca with poor Landry already removed.
That's five characters.
It's just Spore Guy I just want to smack and i'm not sure Lorca isn't an antagonist.
