Aside from Isaacs as the Captain, this is the first casting on this show I really like.

The only problem is, she looks and sounds quite young (but that's probably for flashbacks). They'll have to age her up a bit to make it believable that she has a 26 year old son if she ever appears in 2256.

No doubt they'll introduce 'boy Spock' in flashbacks next, whenever they need a viewership boost.

With streaming It's easier to watch old shows these days, but it's harder to find old shows by accident that you'd never thunk were in your wheelhouse, like how terrestrial TV just doesn't give you a choice, and stongarms you into accepting unfavorable decisions if you've realized that you've left the remote in the downstairs kitchen, after you've finally gotten all your pillows just right.
