Different uniforms?

I haven't actually seen DSC yet, but I have looked at pictures. Got a question about the Starfleet uniform of the era:

Are there actually different uniform colors after all?

I ask this because the pictures I've seen of Georgiou, she's wearing a uniform with a much darker shade of blue than the rest of them wear (such as Adm. Anderson). Is this on purpose, or just a trick of the light?

If the former, what are the different 'blues' supposed to represent? I don't think the lighter blue is an admiral's uniform, because the pic I've seen of Anderson, one of his crew is wearing a uni with the same shade.

The blue is the same. The trim changes:
Gold for Command, Bronze for Operations and Silver for Sciences if I remember correctly.

I think it's just the lighting. The mini deltas are gold and silver on different uniforms though.

Yes, there are three different colors: Gold/Green, Beige, and Blue. That's for the tunics. The pants are black.

One thing I don't like about the new uniforms is the rank designation inside the Starfleet delta. It makes spotting the wearer's rank very difficult from anywhere that's not a couple of steps away.

I'm also trying to determine what's special about the Admiral uniform of the era. Near as I can see, there is more piping, going from shoulder to shoulder. (For the Captain's uniform, there is also extra piping, but only going from the neck to the upper arm.)

Not anymore. And 50 years from now in the upteenth remake they'll be different again.

Nope, we see the Cage era uniforms are blue.

I don't remember that, at all.

It was in one image, we only got to see part of the vest. But either it was a super dark blue and some crazy lighting going on or it was black

We have seen some images, they look the same. Dark blue jumper with the tactical vest and a holster.

I'm willing to bet we'll see new uniforms or significant modifications season to season regardless of whether or not they retool. Kind of like the movies. Unless they cut funding of course.
Did anyone notice how the Admiral looked a little squeezed into his uniform in the premiere? And that guy is in great shape for his age. They have to stop trying to make everyone look thin and relax the design a bit. At least for the older and plus-sized officers.
