Which species do you think humans most relate to?

None. All humanity relating to just ONE species in Star Trek, when the very idea of many of those species is to show us aspects of ourselves? Feh. Some of us are Klingons. Some of us are Vulcan. Some, Ferengi. We even have some Borg. But most of us are many of them. We are vast, we contain multitudes.
Well, I used the word "relate." In no way do I think humanity is exactly like Klingons, but from my experience, I think that is the species to which me mostly relate.
Maybe I'm the wrong person to respond to this. Hell, I don't even relate to HUMANS.
Humans are diverse, from some farmer in Thailand or China, to some guy an environmental activist building musical instruments in Argentina and painting and illustrating, to some woman oppressed in Iraq and trying to better herself with college, to some over-worked Salary man in Japan in an unhappy marriage and going through divorce, to some Indian woman working at some Hotel resort working Hospitality trying to feed her kids, from some poor redneck in the Deep South busting his ass to pay the bank and feed his family and delivering goods the humans or humanity, they don't represent any particular species.... but yeah there are traits that are predictable, the elite, the globalists, the war merchants be they left or right they are often one and the same, obsessed with power, greed, oil/gold and using a global system of banks to make profit from constant never ending wars....you could argue that 'evil' exists in this world, it maybe exists inside fundamentalist doomsday cults, inside violent racist hate groups, it perhaps existed in the thugee of India and aztec culture human sacrifice and exists in the mohammedan culture of violent jihad, islamic fundamentalism or orthodox islam and those who would copy the ways of muhammed, those who would punish infidels and attack or kill in the name of islam because the Quran or Koran tells them so...perhaps all these things are 'evil'.
However the sad part of humanity is...and we are going into 'Conspiracy' territory here is there are a lot of political illusions mirrors and political smoke screens and when you see through them you know there are people at the top who would happily see constant chaos, war and strife.....maybe in a way these people lacking in 'humanity' are perhaps more like Internationalist war mongering Vampires. I was always a casual fan of Trek but I am very familiar with Voyager, the Original Series, DS9, TNG, the new and old movies...in old school Trek as I understand it Klingons = Soviets or Mongols or Russia...but they could also represent Romans or Imperial Japan....Federation = The UN or U.S. or NATO or a global post nuclear socialist utopia, Cardassians = Germany or Dominion - Nazi Germany , Romulans = China or anicent Chinese or Coldwar China, Vulcans = Japan or Ancient Buddhists , Ferengi = Jews/Israel, Borg = The Threat of Globalism or Uniculture in the US or mono-machine culture

Bejoran or Bajoran are said to be an oppressed people like an Indian caste or Kurdish peoples or also said might be Jews or Poles during WW2 oe any number ethnic culture with a resistance movement

Yeah, there are humans who act like Klingons. They work for the humans who act like Ferengi, risking their lives so the latter can get all the money.
There hasn't been a non-Ferengi president in decades.
The time humans act most like Klingons is guys who are at a bar with their girlfriend when other guys are checking them out. But really, with some exceptions, it's a show for their girlfriends and they'd prefer not engage in violence.

I'd argue that the government is full of very rational people, who have come to the logical conclusion that the best way to service their own ends is to stir up violent emotion in the voters.

Bajorans; largely thanks to DS9, they enjoyed a lot of screentime and didn't have a Big Distinction between them and humans, unlike other screen-heavy species, like Vulcans. We've seen Bajoran cities, Bajoran villages, this and that -- and their architecture is very "human" in a way that the Vulcan and Cardassian sets we've seen aren't. As background characters, the only thing that distinguishes Bajorans from humans are wrinkled noses and possibly an ear-ring. While Bajorans are devout in a way that is strange to the 24th century Earthers, and to some of the audience of the show, their religious life is approachable in a way that Vulcan religion isn't, if we think about traditional human religions. We have a Bajoran version of Cardinals and a Pope, for instance. Vulcan religion has mystic elements that humans would never experience, thanks probably to the Vulcans' telepathic abilities. As close as one can find to Vulcan religion or philosophy is Buddhism, but Buddhism is not limited to mastery of emotions. It quickly developed demigods as it spread throughout Asia, for instance.
I've read a few fans express this here through the years and I can't see the connection that they do. Comicbook Continium could you clarify your thoughts on this matter?
I would compare the Ferengi more the the 17th/18th century Dutch, and even there the comparison is less than exact.
If the Borg were a actual decision making collective, where new Borg's distinctiveness was added to the exist cultural "matrix" I would agree to the Borg being the USA.
But let's face it, in the Trek universe new Borgs are just more slaves, so there's no parallel to America.
Part of the problem is we still know relative little about the Vulcan religion/religions, other than the simple fact that they have religion and a few odds and ends about it.
The Bajorns religion seem relatively straight forward, and kind of simple to understand.
I could easily see the Vulcan religion being incredible complex and intricate.
Perhaps Discovery will touch on the Vulcan religion at some point through Burnham.

I would say humans, of the current era, relate most to the Andorians. Not quite as violent as Klingons, but definitely prone to letting their emotions and anger get the best of them.
